I don’t know what populism is.

Wouldn't know it by your lackluster writing abilities.

Maybe you're brilliant but you suck at communicating

FWIW, I know he’s smarter than you are.

You’re a simpleton who adds nothing here but insults.

Look up “the French Revolution.”

Point taken, but the counterpoint that comes to mind immediately is that there’s just no realistic or accurate comparison to be drawn between 1800 French “mob” and a 2023 American “mob.” We’ve “evolved” as a society, particularly in modern day, first world America, beyond medieval type revolutions. And no I don’t actually mean to say the French Revolution occurred in the Medieval period of history, only that the common tactics and practices were “medieval.”

That’s the argument in a nutshell from the TDS infected. It makes no sense.

Seems like you could just respond to the post that claims that instead of creating a new topic based on nothing but one of your claims.

We don't have a democracy. Founding fathers were not fans.

I agree unless you specify liberal democracy, which I think is usually implied in that sort of argument.

Your first mistake is thinking they are including you when they reference "our" democracy.

You realize that in a democracy .... a true democracy, all your rights and money can be taken away if it is popular with 50% +1 ?

That's why I go for the republican style of government ......everytime. It protects me (and you) from populist idiots.

Let me slow this way tf down for you.

Trump and Bernie are populists, yet the establishment hacks from both parties call them "threats to democracy". The swamp wants to rebrand democracy to mean whatever their agenda is.

BLM is an example, though it was 2020.

Populism is just another identity group that wants to topple the "elites."
