LSU is a dumpster fire

Louisiana has some of the most valuable natural resources in the WORLD but its economy is in the shitter

Someone please explain

The people getting elected here have been exploiting this since the 1920s.

LSU is an outright liberal shite hole currently

New orleans attracts hipsters who cant afford to live else where. and then 34% of the state is "culture"

$90,000 in a freezer will get you whatever you need from your politician of choice... if I recall.

Big, filth, Democrat controlled cities, Dominion and demographics. One of the worst public educations systems in the USA.

It's pretty simple.

Seems like the rich historic charming old world cajun culture is dying out in favor of something really different.

Other than that it’s just decade after decade after decade of corruption. No surprise really New Orleans is one of the the south oldest cities and at one timeWhoever control the port of New Orleans controlled a shite ton of the countries economy.

In all seriousness, it is in part due to the black belt.
Get 30% of population to vote a certain way, 100% in some voting districts, and you can place
school boards that dictate contracts
county commissions that dictate contracts
city council that make the rules and dictate contracts
state reps and senators that use their influence to dictate contracts
US reps that use their influence to do whatever they damn will please

Really? It's a state that was still red in the last election. Out of the southern states, it's one of the only ones with a "major" city which will lean democrat. Other southern states with major cities (GA and FL) either blue or watched closely. LSU's issues are really mild compared to a truly liberal school.

As far as having democrat tendencies, the state is not truly as "southern" as other southern states. South of I10 isn't necessarily liberal, but it isn't your typical Bible belt southern culture. Lot of local democrat elected officials in those areas.

Economic issues are nothing to do with left/woke issues. It's corruption/exploitation of the resources from every level of government for the last 100+ years.

Wut

Trump won Louisiana by 18.6 points, which was a larger margin than both Mississippi and South Carolina.

Oh and did you not see what Georgia did?

Probably going to piss some people off, but it's almost certainly related to the French/Catholic influence. Not trying to throw mud, but it seems to be the biggest influence on culture.

Huey Long institutionalized a system of corruption that has controlled LA for coming up on 100 years. It will never go away.
