How did Biden know what year and day to retroactively extend these pardons to?

Seems odd they would pick January 1, 2014. Even more odd that Hunter was hired by Burisma in April of 2014. But I am sure the pardon going back within a few months of Hunter's hiring at Burisma is just a coincidence.

I think most crimes outside of murder have a statute of limitations that is 10 years or less. So they went back just over10 years to cover their asses for 99% of the Federal Criminal Code.

Well the Obama led coup in Ukraine was in February 2014, and Hunter was hired in April. That is when the billions in kickbacks started.

This should be the subject of an investigation to determine if preemptive pardons can be removed.
Those pardoned should be summoned to discuss their crimes.
