I think that the NFL players should burn a US flag during the national anthem as a peaceful protest.

of course they can kneel, they have that right, and others can protest and hold back their support and money, they also have that right.

That's really good little T, now can you tell me if you can see spot run?

How about you come and make me STFU? You can wear your fancy ANTIFA costume if you want.

How about you don't call a cop if an NFL player ever beats your daughter.

Why dont you do some soul searching to find out why white supremacists and feel the way they do

Yeah, these millionaire SJW/snowflakes feel unsafe in their 24/7 security protected world, living in their gated communities. Lol!

So your rebuttal to a perceived free speech issue is to silence the other side? Brilliant!

OP says we can't tell other people what to do. Tells us to STFU in title.
Think of this as MY silent protest that isn't hurting anyone. It is my right too.

you missed the part where Colin is a Muslim and will not stand again until America is better in his world view
I understand the black experience is different than mine, but I am tired being told I don't understand and need to keep listening.
I wasn't a part of history, stop treating me as such with this nonesense about police brutality.
I have a video from Miami I could show you that might blow your freaking mind how Police are treated by blacks in the hood. My niece in an officer there!

And If I want to voice my outrage I can... so how about you STFU about it.
See how that works.

Actually, in a way, I am the boss of the players. If I don't support them by purchasing tickets, their sponsors...etc Then they fold.
You see it's my dollars they take to pay those players.

In America, you have the freedom to be a traitor to America? That's your argument?

After much soul searching, and acknowledging all Americans right to free speech, I think I have found the correct solution for this issue.
To all the brave players protesting the nationsl anthem, the coaches, administrators, owners, and citizens who support this form of protest:
From the very bottom of my heart,
frick OFF.
I don't want or need you or your product in my life.

The NFL players and owners can cuss out the President all they want. They can point out whatever they feel is a flaw in American society and scream to high heaven about it all they want. It is their right to do so. However, to use the playing of the national anthem and/or presentation of the flag as their vehicle of protest is disrespectful. The anthem and flag represents America as a whole. If you disrespect those things, then you are also disrespecting everything and everyone that is also good in America.
There is no law against the players protesting the anthem, but there is also no law that says people can't call them out on it.
NFL players should not only be thankful for their God-given talents and earning their millions, but also that they were born in the United States. If they were born anywhere else, I'd wager a majority of them would be nothing much more than ditch diggers or in prison.
The players can protest all they want on their own time. At game time, however, people want to see football. The fans, who are the ones paying these players salaries, pay good money to be entertained, and not to receive political lectures from the players. People get enough politics with the 24/7 news cycle. Hopefully the fans will prove their point by using the mechanics of capitalism by boycotting the NFL and any other professional sports league that chooses to disrespect their fans.
