The US should retain and refine whatever amount of oil from the US and South America to keep energy prices substantially lower in the US than the global market and let's see how long Iran and the other ME oil gangsters last.

I miss George W. I never thought I would say that.

Then you would be incredibly stupid, we are largely in the shape we are in today because of Bush

We should never let the Houthis off the mainland especially with our presence in Djibouti. If they are on that island we should show up and chuck them all into the sea with pork chops around their necks

At least Bush wouldn’t have surrender control of two of the most important maritime choke points in the world to Iran and abandoned our main Naval base in the region.

They have the tanks and aircraft to obliterate the Houthis. All they need is the guts.

You could say the same thing about the US

The Saudi crown Prince called Trump twice yesterday asking for us to get involved militarily and Trump refused. I have no idea why we wouldn’t attack the Houthis. Trump has no idea how to wage a war.
I imagine the Saudi Crown Prince just thought when he asked we’d just start shooting away at the Houthis to defend SA’s interests.
Free of charge.
Trump is likely wanting compensation for defending their interests and keeping their country afloat.
You have no idea how to wage a war.

Honestly, Trump is missing the messaging with Iran and the current gas pricing.
The message to make is that yes, gas prices are higher than we want but as we can all see now, the action being taken against Iran and the resulting higher gas prices are for the right reasons. Iran has shown the world the danger they posed to everyone and this is without them having a nuclear weapon to wield over the world. We now see the strategy they were developing to hold the world shipping through international waters hostage and have the world bend to their will. Now, imagine what your gas prices would be if Iran had a nuclear weapon to threaten the world that opposed their control.over international waters? $10/gallon due to the hostage of oil and energy routes with no solution other than a full blown war with high likelihood of a nuclear weapon being deployed.
Yes, it is not preferred now, but it would be much worse for the rest of your lives if we do not see this through right now.

Okay fine. What business do I’ll the US take care of? We started this war and frankly, we’re losing it

The U.S. started the war between the Houthis and Saudi?

The war in Yemen is the exact same war we’re fighting with Iran. It’s simply another front.

The US started the war with Iran. The houthis are an extension of the Islamic regime in Iran. They’re simply following Iran’s orders to seize the Bab al Bandeb and create more pressure on global shipping and oil trade.

This is the ME countries war to fight. They sat by and let Iran develop this strategy that would cut the rest of the ME off from the rest of the world. They thought Iran was just targeting Israel without realizing they were frogs in water coming to a boil.
Now, it's time to see what sacrifices these countries are willing to make to defend their economy and sovereignty.

Yet we started a war with Iran and are obviously unwilling to finish it because Trump does have the balls to do what is necessary
