I don't know if you've noticed, but a lack of logic hasn't been just a woman thing these days.

Usually, the senate chose a member who had a known track record, agreeable to enough of the different minded representatives, usually someone more aligned with the middle ground of the state
That’s true, and I think it would be good to have our senators more isolated from the public, so they can do what is best instead of what is popular. Maybe that would bring fiscal responsibility to the federal government. But folks on here would be losing their minds at “the establishment” that ignores the will of the people.

Women and sodomites are much more susceptible to the weaponized hyper emotionality that is peddled from the left. Remove women from the electorate and there arent enough of the other to make a difference.

The do nothing rat bastards in Congress better get rid of birthright citizenship or redefined before the nation falls to illegals and foreign nationals dropping babies into the US. There are an estimated 10 million birthright citizens born in the US since 2000.

2/3 vote in both houses of Congress + 3/4 of the states (38) would be required. It will never happen. People are too stupid.

It would end unfunded mandates to the states. Right now no one represents state governments in Washington

It’s not logic, it’s lived experience and incentives… it’s as simple as women being born with their inherent value and men being expected to earn their value
Also as simple as women becoming invisible at 40 at an age where men are getting into their prime years

I disagree. Women's inherent value isn't inborn. It only surfaces when fulfilling her duties as her husband's helpmeet and mother to their children. It isnt "fair" but it is God's way.

If you already knew that and didn’t have to look it up, I yield to your knowledge of history. You’re right but with exception of 22nd, the others were a long, long time ago. I guess my point is that it’s not hard to see why we have all these problems, and how they’ve gotten worse over time.
Progressive democrats set a goal, deliver a unified message that works toward that goal, and accomplish said goal. It’s a lot like Saban’s Process, an effective and proven strategy. The Republican party does nothing because it was infiltrated by Progressives long ago.
I will be shocked if they repeal the 17th, but it may not make much of a difference, as the damage has already been done. Besides, the two parties already seemingly choose their leadership roles according to who is the biggest scumbag.

I’m talking about before they meet… when boys have to bust their arse to be starters on the team and girls just have to fill out a cheerleader or dance team uniform and do their makeup

I’ve been pushing this for a decade

bullshite. They advocate for themselves and lobbyists. The state government has zero representation in the federal system under the 17th amendment. Before the 17th the senators were selected to represent the state government, the house of representatives were supposed to represent the people of the state.

Girls sports are a little more cutthroat than all that, but you are correct that the stakes and importance of boys sports are a much higher level.

Dear sir
Here is why! When Mary Landreieu cast one of the deciding votes FOR Obamacare the state legislature could have YANKED her butt home and replaced her pronto.

I’m all for repeal, but for clarity, this is a state representative in Arizona, not USCongress…

What makes you think having the legislature appointing the Senate would change that?

The States would once again have their say in how the federal government is run.
The house was for the People, and the Senate was for the States. That's how the balance was achieved.

When senators are selected by the legislature, that senator is going to do what the state legislature wants them to do. Today senators do what their party tells them to do.
This, and while cash from outside the state would still be an issue during the process it would have less of an impact due to the fact local state legislators would be far more accountable to their constituents.
