Sounds like fixing an existing fence.
I believe it when I see a real wall.

$1.6 billion.

A few months ago congress appropriated $1.4.

We are up to $3 billion now (in less than a year).

Ugh. Just when I was about to give Trump credit for succumbing to reason.

Oh well.

So the House can pass bills on its own now? No Senate or POTUS?

From DC Whispers.

quote:

The media hasn’t mentioned it much because it proves that Donald Trump is decisively outmaneuvering the opposition Republicans. The tactic was simple. Mr. Trump reached out to Democrats with a basic “can we get something done for the American people?” request. This put enormous pressure on Paul Ryan and his cadre of obstructionist Republicans to start moving on at least some of the Trump agenda.

This is Ryan buckling under that pressure. This is Ryan conceding the power of Trump and the millions of Trump supporters have forced his hand. There was certainly some DACA negotiation behind the scenes – as well as Trump’s demand for real tax relief for Middle Class Americans and American business. After about six months settling in and figuring out the angles of the D.C. snake pit, Trump is unleashing an Art of the Deal offense upon the opposition and they appear unable to stop him – at least for now.

Every single POTUS Trump supporter who raised a voice in support of their president helped to push Speaker Ryan to bend the knee. Keep it up. You have real power and you’re scaring the hell out of Washington D.C.

We'll save billions by using cheap Mexican labor. Trump said Mexico was going to pay for the wall...maybe he just meant they'll pay for it by saving us a ton in labor costs

I think the politics are quite clear to the GOPe and dems that they best pass all border wall funding, even in quiet tucked into big things-- so Schumer can save face.

And we know POTUS will sign it.

Through the House.

It will get there. Like I tell my 13 year old daughter, patience.

If Congress failed to act by the Sept. 30 deadline, portions of the government would be forced to shut down and all non-essential government employees will forgo payment until they reached an agreement.

Sounds like a plan.

The delusion is too much.

Ryan keeps delivering and you Trump supporters refuse to give any credit. All credit goes to Trump and all blame goes to others.

wow.

Since Trump is astoundingly hard up for wins they reject this reality and substitute their own.

Do you have your own opinion on the matter or are you just going to keep ripping off Mythbusters quotes?

So yeah, 10 years ago it cost 2.4 billion for fencing a 1/3 of the Wall. This is just lighting money on fire.

If you think building the wall is expensive and "lighting money on fire," take a look at the public costs and externalities occasioned by rampant illegal immigration from the third world.

He won't and if he did, he would lose the nomination to Harris or some other minority/victim candidate.

$1.6 billion is a very nice start.

Joe Biden is the biggest joke in politics and the only ones not clued in on it appear to be you and Joe himself.

What it proves is that Trump doesn't need republicans to achieve his goals, and that Democrats can get some of what they want despite being the minority party if they are willing to negotiate.

I'm pretty sure there hasn't been any of this money appropriated for building the wall yet. Those House votes were basically symbolic measures to make people think they were doing something. None of that will make it through the Senate.

Sure you could.

Two 10' game fences 250 yards apart. With land mines in the middle*.
