So yeah, 10 years ago it cost 2.4 billion for fencing a 1/3 of the Wall. This is just lighting money on fire.

That's because of all the bullshite environmental regulations and studies. Trump has supposedly been focusing on scrapping as many of those as possible.

Will this get 60 votes in the senate?

It will be changed and no funding for the wall. It being passed by the house is just politics.

Spending time on writing a bill that will be changed in the Senate is a waste of time.

This is one of the reasons shite doesn't get done in DC.

Trump can absolutely count on the rust belt in 2020.

Because unlike normal politicians, he is actually keepin his promises to them.

High tech version would $15 million per mile. 107 miles

Rome wasn't built in a day.

A journey of a 1000 miles starts with the first step.

Jj

Estimates from 3.9 million per, on up to 16 for highest tech.
Jj, do you see this 1.6 billion being enough for repair and improve of the existing 400 miles.

Prototypes:

President Donald Trump’s border wall came a little bit closer to reality today, as U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced its chosen contractors to build prototype sections along the southern border near San Diego.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Ronald D. Vitiello named four companies chosen to build 30-foot-long prototypes of a concrete wall.

Gotcha we need it fully funded and contracts let in one year.

An Alabama construction firm has been awarded a contract to build a wall prototype for southern California. The Department of Homeland Security has contracted with Caddell Construction Co. to build concrete wall prototypes in the San Diego area, reports the SunHerald.

The DHS also awarded other construction companies to build the wall prototypes including: W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Co. in Philadelphia, Mississippi, KWR Construction Inc. in Sierra Vista, Arizona, and ELTA North America Inc. in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
