Hot off the press: Hydroxychloroquine not effective as post-exposure prophylaxis

Unfortunately we now have moderate to strong evidence that it is not effective in hospitalized patients, patients with radiographic pneumonia, as post-exposure prophylaxis or those requiring any supplemental oxygen. I’ve been holding out some hope but I really have nothing concrete to continue basing recommending this drug for COVID19 on in any clinical setting.

Didn't we already know this?

It also doesn't work on someone who's so far gone that they need a ventilator.
It is known.

It doesn’t bring the already dead back to life? Thanks for the update.

Sadly this doesn’t show anything and I’m disappointed. I was really looking forward to it.
It doesn’t show anything because it enrolled 800 patients. The HEROS trial currently recruiting did an ad hoc power analysis and determined they needed over 4000 patients just for 80% power to detect a 1% difference and 15000 for 90% power.

The methodology did not include zinc or azithromycin, which seems to be a key promoter of HCQ effectiveness. Seems like another intentionally flawed study...

Just read it doesn't cure cancer and the sky is blue.

Hydroxychloroquine is not nearly effective as protesting is in fighting the virus. Apparently when you protest, there is no need for social distancing or masks or hand-washing or sani-wipes. It's a miracle

It's hilarious that the first drug that showed any potential to help combat a virus in a pandemic that Trump simply mentioned as promising turned into a political tug-o-war tool of bullshite.
People act like the President invented the fricking drug because he merely mentioned it.

frick. Back to the drawing board to bring back loved ones that turned into zombies.

Yet another study finding the HCQ doesn't work without zinc and zpack.
No shite.
I hope no tax money was used to fund this POS study.
I haven't dug into the research instituted that ran this, but I would put money on Big Pharma being a large donor.

What difference does it make now? I thought it was widely known that protesting and rioting were the cures for Covid-19. Well, certain forms of protesting. Not the peaceful kinds that protest business closing down because of Covid, for example, but other types.

Being they didn’t mention it being used in with the supplemental Zinc I’m not surprised . Without the Zinc it has no way to be carried and distributed to the cells .

Claims that HCQ were dangerous were fake news!!
The Anti HCQ Study Is Now Being Called Fake News, So Trump Was Right??!

Not a single grave from the middle 1300's has opened after having a single HCQ pill thrown on it.
Shocked I tell ya!

Given today's revelations on prominently shared HCQ studies, I'm gonna wait a bit before diving back into muh believe the experts.

Still taking HCQ/ Z pack/ zinc no question 100% if I happen to contract this stupid arse shite.

Its crazy how obsessed with Trump people are. I'll listen to what he says every now and then, I voted for him. But people on both sides just hang to every word. Especially the people who hate them.
I bet if they had toned that shite down, Hillary would have won. Enough people said frick you I'm tired of your whining bullshite.
