I heard a clip from Gavin Newsom who dispelled any fault for his useless lock downs in Calif during Covid.
IE..."We all thought it was necessary. No one knew what we now know. Hindsight is 20-20."

I know that there were TONS of posters here on TD that knew the lock downs were unnecessary from day 1. So, logic tells us there are only two conclusions about Gavin's assertion:

1. He's lying. And he knows he's lying.
2. He's right about everyone being fooled. This makes the TD posters here among the greatest intellects in the U.S.

well - he's a democrat ------ so ----------

I was fine with the "15 days" - I was absolutely convinced from day one that "this is a scam" - but that is because I just do not believe in civilization changing coincidences that happen 'just in time' to save the bacon for politicians I have hated for the past 60 years.

But even I was OK with '15 days' to examine this beast and make a plan for combatting it.

If your fire alarm sounds in the middle of the night, you do not just ignore it because you know your best friend is in town and he most likely would think of something like that to mess up your sleep.

You get up and check it out

- and in the back of your mind you vow to get back at him if he was the one that caused it.

An unfortunate feature, and the primary reason I am an anarcho-capitalist, of government and those who run it is the incessant, and often inane, desire to "do something." Even when it not only does no good, but causes negative outcomes, politicians would rather sau, "we tried" than simply leave everyone to their own devices.

TD Poli Board posters don't give a shite about anyone, so we don't have those types of mental hangups.

I volunteer for that when it comes to attributing evil to Democrat political actions.

That is because I absolutely KNOW that they do NOTHING that is helpful to anything but their own grasp for more POWER.

I have a 100% batting average for the past 60 years.

WAIT - I have to amend that

I was WRONG about LBJ and the Vietnam War - I KNEW he was mismanaging it - was screwing it up royally - BUT

I never suspected the STARTED the damned thing.

As much as I hated LBJ from my earliest memory - not even I thought he would START A DAMN WAR!!1

I was wrong - but - I learned then to never ever give any DEMOCRAT the benefit of the doubt e ver again.

Newsome's California

Later on he's going to look back at this and say we should have done more?

He didn't think much of COVID and wearing masks when he went out to eat.

But rather than talk about Day 1 vs Day 30, the larger perspective is California remained locked down until Jan 2021, and did not fully reopen until June 2021, Day 468!

Gavin Newsome will be doing this a lot because he knows he has a disaster of a resume and a history of extremist left policy.

America definitely does not want Gavin Newsome as president, but sadly I expect we will one day.

So much bullshite in one statement. He runs one of fifty states, and his was an outlier in terms of lockdowns. “We all thought it was necessary” except for most of your counterparts.

Well, I could have bought into the suggestion of lockdowns but when the following happened:

1. Lowe's and Home Depot was allowed to remain open
2. A travel ban for China was imposed after 5 days notice
3. People were not encouraged to gather what they needed for 15 days and Wal-Mart and Dollar General remained open

Etc, etc, it really wasn't bad enough to warrant "lockdowns"...

I'm willing to give everyone some leeway on this one. However, there are certain governors, Louisiana included, that refused to give up when it was obvious that Covid protocols were bullshite. Newsome et al deserve tons of flack for how they kept up with the 2 more weeks bullshite!

Also, frick JBE, aka. the slimy cocksucker.

People who were paying attention knew that they were unnecessary for the majority of the country. We had a floating petri dish called the Diamond Princess that showed us as much.

They were listening to medical experts on day 1. Esp with bodies piling up in China and Italy early on. Can’t really fault them for that. That’s what they’re there for.

What we can do is look at the data as it comes in and adjust. Most did that.

If I had a nickel for every time a Trump apologist used Newsom's argument in defending DT's handling of Covid response.

Some in this thread used it earlier this morning in a thread.
