Are the same schools willing to help the boys register for the draft?

Using government employees on the clock for partisan political activity is a criminal act.

I signed up for selective service in my high school gym. I may have even registered to vote there too.

I thought it was a common thing in high schools??

I registered to vote my senior year in 2007. Of course, I was not persuaded one way or the other when doing so but still. Generally a part of Civics class?? I know Im not crazy

Some states you don't register as either a Republican or Democrat or independent which gives you the option of voting in either primary

So Republicans do participate in voter registration drives not as organized or staffed or funded like the Democrats do

But anybody other than those that can't vote can become a voter registrar in their state take a class sign paperwork and go out and register voters you just can't refuse to register someone because their a differing party

Which is a crime and I imagine if the mother wants to pursue this and the local Republican Party will get after it that this educator did this to more than one kid and if she pressured all of them to only register as Democrat she's busted

Staff member knows what she did. She got caught. She never thought she would get caught. So she wiggled her way out of it. She will not stop. She is still doing it. No accountability.

“You know I can’t talk about politics in my position.” Goes on to talk about her conversation about Harris and Trump policies to a 17 year old.

Good for the daughter and good for this mother. Until these deranged fricks stop pushing their weirdo beliefs onto our children we need to continue push back.

Leave the god damn children alone.

What I’d like to know is was the daughter registered as a democrat. That would give the mom more ammunition to get the teacher/counselor fired, especially since the daughter really had no interest in voting or listening to any info about policies, which was more than likely one-sided. She tells the mom she’s an inspector and can’t talk politics but then a minute later tells the mom she talked to her daughter about policies. She mentioned a form being filed out and tells the mom she has the right to change info on the form, so I’m wondering if she’s referencing a party affiliation. Likewise, the body language on this teacher says she’s lying. Can’t keep her feet from swinging back and forth while she’s tap dancing around the truth.

That's a badass mama bear.

Kudos to her for standing against the machine. Hopefully the daughter gains a valuable lesson from this, about manipulation and gaslighting.

The girl says she was told registration was mandatory. What if she was a member of a religion that doesn’t allow voting, like a Jehova’s Witness? The ACLU wouldn’t know whether to scratch their watches or wind their asses.
