The only reason you got to where you are in life is due to your rich parents and fascism. You grew up in a family that made its fortune under slave labor. You don’t know what it’s like having to work street corners or trucks stops. You don’t know what it’s like having to pan handle 12 hours a day just to break 6 figures. You don’t know what it’s like to grow up in a country run by Nazis while watching people in Europe live perfect lives. At least NYC has given us hope that wealthy people will finally be arrested but I’m not holding my breath.

Upper middle class.

ETA: I completely disagree with a tariff dividend. Unlike the tariffs themselves, this would absolutely drive up inflation and give ammunition to the morons who don't understand economics and claim Trump's tariffs are bad for the economy.

Appreciate the sarcasm, but sadly, this is how people think.

My mom was a school bus driver and my dad worked for Entergy, so yes, as you can imagine, that gave me a huge financial advantage of being just barely middle class.

Why would the Supreme Court care?

If Trump pays this out, and his tariffs are ruled illegal, it just compounds the negative externalities of the frickup by his admin.

It should be enough that you enjoy your white privileged life and let those less fortunate reap the production your privilege created.

It is not a frickup by the administration, it would be a frickup by the Supreme Court.

but of course, halfwits like you would blame something done by the courts on the admin

I don’t… wasn’t referring to your business specifically… generally this is the problem America is facing though.. hardworking people who work full time aren’t making ends meet… so again appreciate your effort

Free legal advice. If you're going to enact tariffs, use a law that contains the word "tariff"

I just saved the Trump admin tons of embarrassment, and billions of dollars in costs to our citizens.

That’s bullshite, and it’s a failure of Trump’s original tariff promises, which were always vague but sold as something that would benefit all Americans, including potentially lower taxes.

As was previously pointed out: the math never worked out to what he claimed it would. It was simply red meat for knuckleheads caught up in the moment of that day’s promise.

Instead of paying down the deficit which would be beneficial we have a new welfare program and attempted vote buying. And yes, we all voted for this. No, I will not benefit from this.

Wage growth has not kept up for decades, mostly due to inflation. A tariff dividend will actually contribute to this even further.

Paying down the deficit would be more beneficial for wages.

Context???… paying down the deficit would not be beneficial to the majority of Americans as of right now or the next 10 years
