How do you live with the knowledge that you’re proven wrong time & time again yet carry on with this smug feeling of entitlement & self-righteousness?

It’s incomprehensible to me that you sleep well at night & go about your day with zero troubles on your conscience.

I'll never understand people whose allegiance (given all we've seen) is to a party.

A significant part of the Republicans literally are democrats other than a label.

Spelling aside, is this political discourse as taught at LSU?

I'm not sure I can speak for HHTM, but I think I understand some of the mindset of alot of people like him. They are essentially embarrassed to actually be conservatives. They have a desire to be allowed to sit at the cool kids table, and believe they are basically the same as leftists, but with a little different way of looking at things. They like talking about things in theory, such as strong borders or energy independence or small government... but when it comes time to do the heavy lifting and actually getting things done, they run away because they don't want to have to get their hands dirty. They just like these concepts remaining "ideas".

I don’t find ignorance and cowardice very cool. But that’s just me.

Which, to the left, renders them essentially harmless.

Yet nobody, especially the left, really respects them.

Isn't acquiring that taste part of freshman orientation at A&M or is it more of a self selection where only those already accustomed choose to enroll there?

This is it in a nutshell.

Their only relevance is found in criticizing the people who think most like themselves. “I’m one of the good conservatives.”

What gets me is that people that support Trump actually think he is conservative. Why even give them the right to vote if they are so dull to think his spending, his abortion stand and his personnel picks are conservative?

He couldn't carry Barry Goldwater's jock strap.

Now that said there are very few feel conservatives any more. The Pauls, Massie, Lee and some others are about it in Congress. Abbott and Desantis are far more conservative than Trump.

The only thing Trump did conservative was to accept the federal judges McConnell put through the Senate and sign the McConnell tax bill. He spent like a drunken sailor. He toted the water for big banks on many policy issues and told his supporters it was about America First. He surrounded himself with democrats like Kelly, Mathis, Kushner, Ivana, Navarro and nut cases like Lin Wood, Rudy Guillani, Steven Bannon, John Bolton, ect.

It is fine to be for Trump but don't think that makes you conservative.

It's crazy how quickly they buy into every single lie. They become emotionally attached to every lie.. to the point where they become erratic and unstable whenever you poke holes in the lies.

It's very saddening. They are all the worst things about a religion, but none of the positives. At least Buddhism, Hinduism, christianity, islam, etc.. believe in something greater than themselves.. be it a heaven or reincarnation, they've something to look forward to. These woke fanatics, their faith is in our government. Our government is basically their god. To question their god is unacceptable. It's not even America that they worship, it's a huge mass of regular people who work in our government.

Serious question…why are you even on an obviously inferior to your intellect LSU board?

Don’t the Ags or Teasips have boards that you can haunt? Or won’t they have you?

Trump did more to advance conservative ideals than any President since Reagan.

Conservatives have spent three decades managing the decline of our culture and society. Trump fought.

If your definition of conservatism focuses on government spending, you probably don’t know what conservatism is.
