I've been with my employer for 10 years, and will most likely be fired at the end of the month for not getting their mandatory vaccination.

I'm not too worried about finding another job; especially in manufacturing.

Clearly, the solution is MORE government programs.

it's true

i've already stated that i know 2 companies right now, who have been offering over market for position(16$+), and one of them offers 10+ weeks off with pay and less than 40 hours worked(salary), and not a f'ing bite.

Nothing, i didn't believe them, and went to the sites they are hosted at(ziprecruiter), and no one has applied in 6 months, and the people ziprecruiter offer up are terrible.

Buddy of mine owns a bunch of C Stores, he’s had to bump up pay significantly just to compete with the government. It’s either that or shut down so he has no option.

Hoping that's the case. My son has a degree, but has been working at Whole Foods in California.

He's quitting and coming to Arkansas. I told him there are jobs.

He has a degree in economics, but could only find jobs in San Francisco and he couldn't afford the rent.

The pandemic pushed him over the edge. He hates Newsome.

Unemployment, no evictions.

It can last as long as the gubment wants.

People forget it's the businesses shelling out the money for state and federal unemployment taxes too. They getting screwed double.

This shows both the stupidity of socialist policies (of which, this is only a taste of the real thing) and how ignorant people are, for thinking that these handouts are just going to keep coming. They won't.

Sure they will. Until they run out of other peoples money.

Went into a chain pet supply store last night that's usually open from 9am to 9pm.

Help wanted signs on front doors, on "wet floor" popups and on almost every end cap in the store.

We walked in at 7:50 pm and the cashier by the door said "just to let you know, we're closing in 10 minutes." I only needed one thing so that wasn't an issue.

Got to the register for checkout and asked why they're closing early on a Friday. She said, "It's not just Friday. It's every day. We only have 4 employees left due to COVID crap, and the four of us are working 10am to 8pm 7 days a week until we get some applicants."

Most people have a shitty work ethic. I'm a business owner, and I've worked 4 out of the last 6 Saturdays.

If you are a tradesman, electrician, plumber, you can easily make six-figures in Northwest Arkansas right now.

Every catfish processing plant in the industry right now is running half capacity due to lack of labor.

Whole industry will collapse if it keeps up

I know a woman who has 8 kids, got 1400 each plus herself.

What’s amazing is you have these people who are typically living check to check. They get in a unique situation where they receive a large chunk of money from the government. So here is a chance to actually have something in savings and elevate yourself. But instead they quit working until the money is gone then it’s back to living check to check hoping no emergency occurs and then borrowing money at 20% interest from a title loan place if there is an emergency

Unfortunately it sounds like his economics education was "enhanced" by Newsome and the left coast. He will be better off for it.
