Like putting lipstick on a pig. Helena is a very nice looking shade of lipstick but won’t really fix much.

tbh it would be a net positive for Orleans, a net negative for everyone else.

This actually made me think a little more positively of the populace down there. Nothings going to change with anther liberal pos in office, BUT at least they recognized that Teedy was incompetent and voted for a change.

Of course she’s a liberal, but she will show up and do her job of running the city. She will attend all the meetings, hold her city dept managers accountable, etc.
She will speak respectfully to the media and business leaders as well as engage with the public.

These are all things that are required of a good Mayer and LaToya did none of this. She was a toxic ignorant pissed off count.

ALL of the people living in Orleans Parish are idiots and chose poorly where to live.

Teddy wasn't eligible due to term limits. But they did vote Hutson out.

Ah the family bag man for the concrete contract for the airport to keep all the money “in tha family”?

Thankfully the next gen of Landrieu’s are fleeing from the state like roaches.

Jeff Landry would love the opportunity to kiss up to Trump and build a big beautiful ICE detention facility right outside of NOLA

Anyone remember her from Channel 6 News, before she was on council?
Anyone member when NOLA elected the “businessman” political outsider from Cox with an MBA from Tulane and everyone celebrated the victory?

All politicians are corrupt, even your most exalted ones. All I’ll say otherwise is can’t wait for Teedy to be in Fed Pen and she grifts more money from the taxpayers.

Don’t forget Landrieu and Nagin, the previous mayors of New Orleans. We can surely see men are clearly the better leaders, lol.

They didn’t vote for a change. Teedy was term limited after winning twice and surviving a recall. She was endorsed twice by the largest newspaper in the state.

The death spiral is real; look at total votes cast. The city is fudging its real population and the Saints/Pels will be moving out soon enough.

By far the best candidate. I think she will surprise some of you.

She’ll be a surprise, alright. Just not the good kind.

Yes, she’s smarter, more capable, and better looking than Cantrell. That’s why she was elected. People rightly see her as more competent.

But Ivan Vladimir Lenin was also competent. Moreno is a “democratic socialist”, aka a communist in disguise. She has received the full indoctrination and training to use the progressive feel good words that will spell even worse doom for the city.

What will be shocking is how much the population will gobble up her socialist utopia speak, and keep doing it even as the city gets worse and worse, with the city tax dollars being wasted at a quickening pace.

Soft on crime, high on equity spending, low on merit promotions. This is her strategy. We know how it will work out.
