I think this is the key a lot of folks are missing. Paxton can be dragged across the finish line, but the money spent to get him there is money that would go to help candidates in Michigan, Georgia,band North Carolina if it wasn't needed in Texas.

It was said at the beginning of this administration that those in Congress who do not work to pass the agenda of the party forward they would be primaried. Some like to complain about campaign promises not being done and this is one that Trump has stuck to. We cannot continue forward with career politicians who do not work to get things done and let the Dems have any chance at working against us. Cornyn had every opportunity to show that he was for that and hasn’t. If cornyn was so great he could tell his buddy Thune to get the save act through but instead Thune has not done it to protect his buddy.

You have this exactly backwards. If Cornyn is the nominee there will be little enthusiasm on the R side. Paxton is the stronger candidate.

It blows my mind that people continue to make the argument that if a person wins a primary, they will be defeated by the challenger from the other party because they are a "poor choice" in their opinion.
We can already tell that those people's opinions don't mean jack shite because they failed to gauge the support behind the candidate who won the primary.
