This proves you know absolutely nothing about Cornyn.

Name me anything he’s done to bring money home to Texas.

Oz…Fetterman better with blue collar Rs than Oz

Lake…bad candidate in every aspect.

There used to be a time when Republicans, at least, cared about the character of the candidates they were supporting. But, now, so long as he has an R after his name and sucks up to MAGA / POTUS he or she can embezzle explicitly ......AND outwardly screw around on his wife. Republicans cheer, "That's my guy!!!"

The worst Republican morally is still infinitely better than any Democrat policy.

Your comment makes no sense in response to mine.

Democrats have immoral policies. The “bottom” is the leftist ideology.

I don’t care who someone fcks. I do care when policies mandate celebrating fckn.

Easy choice.

TheDems have zero moral high ground by virtue of their ideology and policies.

Race to the bottom?
The bottom is fully occupied by Dems.

In this case Paxton is right there with them. A corrupt immoral asswipe whose only qualification for you is the (R) next to his name......and the fact he wears kneepads.

Iran is not a “mess”.

Gottdamn sound bite immediate gratification mindset.

The economy has some major challenges on the horizon. AI is gonna take a wrecking ball to jobs.
Already happening. My company is restructuring and cutting 5000 jobs by the end of 3rd quarter due to AI.

Economy will have uncharted waters for the foreseeable future.

I’ll say it one more time. It’s pointless because you can’t understand.

Policy.

Period.

The general election will likely be closer with Paxton as the GOP nominee rather than Cornyn, or Hunt had he survived. However, Texas is not electing Talarico to anything statewide. This isn’t Oregon or Minnesota.

Paxton v Talarico will be interesting to watch.. at a minimum RNC will have to spend alot of $'s now, which i'm sure makes them very unhappy..

What policy.....really? The SAVE Act????? Because Republicans have had such .......a hard time getting elected to federal office in Texas because illegals aren't voting?

On policy I don't see a lot of maneuvering room between Paxton and Cornyn really, overall.

There has already been a ridiculous amount of spending on the Republican side on primaries. Luckily, in places like LA and KY (4) those are pretty safe places, so it's like a general election expenditure, but in Texas, if Paxton thinks he can cruise to victory he could end up like David Vitter.

I'm actually surprised though that guys like Cornyn and Cassidy don't run independent campaigns for the general. Actually surprised that Massie hasn't signaled that he would in KY. A 10 pt loss in the primary is not insurmountable in a general where he could get Democrats to vote for him.

I could be wrong…but for some reason I seem to recall that at least with the Louisiana closed primary bill, one cannot run in a closed primary, then switch affiliation to qualify for the general after losing in the party primary.

Yeah, the guy who wants to do away with prisons and is more left than the mayor of New York is going to take the Senate seat in Texas.

I don't believe so.

For having so much seniority and longevity, he really sucks at bringing home pork for TX.

Absolutely time for a change when the old guy isn't leveraging his seniority for his constituents

Rs have been getting trounced in special elections for over a year now. It’s been a route.

Unless we see big improvements with the economy there is a real risk.

A lot of small c conservatives in Texas will also sit out or vote libertarian due to Paxton on the ballot.

From the quotes from county R leaders, they are also very concerned about down ballot races now that Paxton looks to win.
