So lets see?
1)The overwhelming amount of crime is committed in the inner cities.
2)The inner cities have the most restrictive gun laws on record.
3)And yet only 1% of crimes report a gun was available for self-defense
Circular logic at its finest

"Less than 1%" of a few hundred thousand crimes is several thousand times.
How does that compare to the number of school shootings?
frick you and them both.

Less than 1% of people die in car accidents, does that mean we shouldn’t wear seat belts? Statistics are dumb.

The right to vote is more powerful than 2E. I'm all for limited the 2nd amendment as long as we can limit voting rights. But hey, libs won't even make them get free ID cards for voting because libs are pieces of shite who will burn in fcuking HELL when they die. Im not religious, but I believe in hell for this discussion.
Let's limit voting rights to people who must pass a 6th grade civics exam. That would exclude many libs right of the bat since a lot of them can't even read.
Let's do it. Let's really frick some shite up.

I guess one could interpret the data as there is too much crime and not enough guns?

A man was walking on the beach one day and noticed a boy who was reaching down, picking up a starfish and throwing it in the ocean. As he approached, he called out, “Hello! What are you doing?” The boy looked up and said, “I’m throwing starfish into the ocean”. “Why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?” asked the man. “The tide stranded them. If I don’t throw them in the water before the sun comes up, they’ll die” came the answer. “Surely you realize that there are miles of beach, and thousands of starfish. You’ll never throw them all back, there are too many. You can’t possibly make a difference.” The boy listened politely, then picked up another starfish. As he threw it back into the sea, he said, “It made a difference for that one.”

"But ... every day, they have a chance to use the gun inappropriately. They have a chance, they get angry. They get scared."
I wonder if he knows that this statement can apply to basically ANYTHING. Car = check, household utensils = check, your hands or feet = check, the bathtub = check.
It's impossible to come up with a list of things that can be used inappropriately because everything can be used in a inappropriate manner.

How about they study other things, e.g., the % of time a gun was used by a Chicago gang member to kill another gang member or an innocent civilian.
The overwhelming majority of the time these deaths represent black on black crimes. African Americans tend to vote democratic. Sounds to me like the Democratic Party, it’s liberal collegiate propaganda machine and its supporters have a different kind of gun problem they need to deal with instead of worrying about self defense.

The data uses gun violence, this includes when cops shoot a bad guy in self defense, so with that being the case the data should also count every time a cops pulls his or her gun and doesn’t shoot in the self defense column...

How often, as a %, were guns used in a commission of a crime? That is the stat I want to know since the criminal with a gun will kill me and not the other way around.

I just don’t trust social science, at all, at this point.
It’s all too easy to get the answer you want.

It's the deterrent side that they can't put numbers against. Less likely to frick with someone if you think they might be able to defend themselves. Deterrent is where the real power behind concealed carry comes into play... they just never know.
