Profit isnt the reason youre paying more at the store no matter how many times your influencers lie to you about it.

Its your government and their fiscal policy.

Imaging arguing that corporations in highly competitive food market are too powerful... while simultaneously arging that government should have the power to dictate prices.

He's not against powerful forces dictating prices. He want MORE of it.

Biden should have done this from the beginning. Harris is taking a stand against corporate greed. She is showing good leadership.

Things are generally more expensive at the non large corporate stores though.

Also these stores pay wages, insurance, utilities and rent. You would need to set controls on those too.

How about we set a maximum wage? No one can pay over x amount. that will keep costs down.

If you think big companies are a problem, you should go spend a week in Cuba.

My wife's friend and her husband went recently and stayed in a top rated, luxury hotel. The air conditioners didn't work. There was no hot water. The power is only on every other four hours. That's probably why they got food poisoning. They won't be going back.

For the average Cuban, rations have been cut in half.

Are all fortune 500 companies willing to do horrible things to maximize profits? Absolutely. There's endless horror stories. Now given those two facts, add in power to the latter, and we have the major issue.

Democrats are the most economically illiterate people ever.

Loads of Dems for sure, but I think it's more a "when did you study economics" thing than a Left/Right thing. Have you seen all the threads on this site where Millennials and Gen-Zers bitch about boomers stealing their prosperity? So it's not just Democrats.

Yes it is. The Harris administration should start its price controls now. Immediately. Like yesterday.

Question, if higher prices are due to conservative R corporations just price gouging, then why weren’t prices higher during 2017-2020?

Hmm?

Hmm?

How about control on liberal policies. Her and Biden are responsible for the inflation. They are the problem not the solution.

You sir are an idiot and clear you know nothing about business.

How do you expect business and employment to grow if everything has to remain static? Is everyone supposed to be stuck and no future for upward mobility?

Also, liberals like to fall back on well corporations are at all time highs for revenue. Sure, but what about P&L. At the end of the day that is what matters.

Food manufacturers are not the problem.....
Over spending in the trillions by the gubment and weak oil/gas policies keep energy prices high.

The fastest way to bring grocery prices down is to quit subsidizing with food stamps. People on food stamps don't care what stuff cost. Kill the program and grocery prices will drop.
