Texas Democrat lawmaker who has been ARRESTED THREE TIMES while in office pushes for a six-figure pay raise that would take her salary to $250,000 Harris County Treasurer Carla Wyatt is asking for a salary of $250,000 or more, which would be a 79 percent raise from her current salary of about $139,500
Police say Wyatt was found asleep in her car in May after someone reported a possibly impaired driver Officers said they smelled alcohol, and Wyatt failed a field sobriety test before being arrested
It was her third arrest since taking office She was previously arrested for DWI in 2023 and for burglary of a vehicle in 2025
