It is a good practice to tie CEO pay to employee pay. It is the only way to keep things fair once corporations truly become an creature all on their own with out the principles of the founders. Costco does it and the CEO still makes $8.5 million and a Cashier can make almost $30 an hour after 3-5 years depending on how much they work with some of the best benefits in the industry. This isn't some commie idea, this was the American ideal when one parent worked and was able to afford to buy a house on a single income. Workers have been squeezed out as investor and executives have inflated their earnings and the pendulum will swing back sooner or later.

It just sounds like you don’t know a lot of people if this is the case

No that is not what they want. They want the CEO to make the same as everyone else.
They are so stupid they think this means everyone makes a million. When in reality it means everyone makes 30K.

If it weren’t for big paternalistic government these executive teams and BODs would turnover way more frequently. Unfortunately Congress has made major bankruptcies and unemployment like cancer so they get to finance buyback for 2 bps of interest on debt and rake when they shouldn’t exist in the first place.

At some companies CEO's make mistake after mistake and still get millions.
"The market decides this".
Not really, the boards of directors do and they are all friends with the CEO.
"Well go and do something".
Nearly impossible.
By the way if parts of the Trump coalition read this, the parts that are in the Steve Bannon "camp" they would agree with the argument that oftentimes (not always) are overpaid. Bannon was for a tax cut for poor and middle class people but wanted to RAISE taxes on the rich. I think this is because what "CEO's" did to his hard working father.

Where the hell did you learn grammar?

So, I took Microsoft and numbers readily available on the internet.
CEO salary $42M
Number of employees 221,000
Pay the CEO $0
Each employee gets $190 extra and the CEO quits
Is this what the commies want?
These people do not understand basic economics. Someone tried to bring up to me the commie grift known as Ben and Jerry's. They spewed some nonsense that no one in the company makes more than 5 times the lowest paid employee. That have been proven false and I pointed that no CEO ever will work for $75 an hour or if they would than a substantial bonus would have to be paid in full up front due after signing. It is amazing how gullible and stupid these people are.

While working for a 100 thousand personnel company I got to see a wide variety of senior managers.
On the one end, manager really talked up the idea that the primary purpose of the company was to employ people
On the other end, manager works the issue of profitability to support shareholder dividends and capital accumulation for expansion.
The right answer was to adapt to the manager currently worked for.
The correct answer was to apply Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to individuals.
What the CEO needs is going to be different than the rank and file

I'm far from one of these "Eat the rich" lunatics, but to act as if the gap between the people at the top and the average worker isn't widening exponentially is just putting your head in the sand.
But you are talking about a few hyper successful people that pretty much work ungodly hours and have the drive and competitiveness most don’t. That’s why they are there.

Watch any 'Day in the life' vids by tech employees and see how they expect the world to be.
There's your answer.

Leftists are self-loathing.
They do not think one step ahead, they are ruled by whim and compulsion.
If it makes someone ELSE miserable, they are for it.
