Dimon is a great at politesse. His dirty work is done behind the scenes. But make no mistake, behind the scenes Dimon can be at least as salty as Trump, and more so actually. Trump is public, up close, and personal with his conflicts. Dimon is publicly genteel. Trump can be a public boor.
They are both highly successful in their own right though. There is no implied pretense with either. E.g., In terms of negotiating capacity, Trump's negotiations with bankers restructuring debt in the 1990's Atlantic City deals, when he was virtually insolvent, was brilliant. In the end, it worked out for all parties. But the bankers had every intention of closing up shop on Atlantic City. Trump ran rings around them in terms of the deals struck.
Dimon is the top banker on the planet, and one of the best CEO's. I've nothing but praise for the man. As a "democrat," Dimon will never be POTUS. If he were though, his Presidency would look like JFK's. Which is to say he'd be right of the Bushes on a number of issues. He'd likely be right of Trump on the budget and deficits.
