A government shutdown will be devastating to our military...something the Dems care very little about!

Trump and the Republicans don't even see the wrong in effectively shutting the country down, including the military. They just want to make a political statement opposing immigration, specifically dreamers.

Good good liberals have fallen for a trap. They choose illegals over citizens

Political statement or fulfilling a campaign promise? DT has said he will let the DACA folks stay if the wall is approved.

They aren't going to "shut the country down, including the military."

But then, you know that, don't you? Sounds much scarier to say they are, though, so I see why you and your ilk do it.

Another Senate Dem flip (from a “yes” on the December CR to a “no” now): @SenatorHassan

Ds seem eager to take ownership of this potential shutdown. They either think they now have a stronger negotiating position over the next 30ish hours to force a deal or that the shutdown will be a PR winner.

Update - McCain likely to miss vote. That gives Rs only 50 votes with 3 of those confirmed Ns. CR needs 60 votes.

They don’t want DACA included in the temporary funding of the government bill. What’s wrong with that?

I honestly cannot understand why he’s still in the senate. Get him out

Nate Bronze has raised the potential to "high" but I haven't seen any official type betting odds.

This is getting to all kinds of crazy. Apparently, the HFC is threatening to pull the plug on the CR preventing it from even getting to the Senate. This seems absurd unless the HFC is just trying to give the R a chance to show they can compromise on aspects of the CR when they finally fall in line?

I'm in Virginia on military orders for three months, paying for a place to live and racking up credit card debt and interest because DFAS won't pay me my travel pay beyond the date the government is funded.

If you think this doesn't affect the military, you're an idiot.

Did I say that? I said little to no impact. Sorry it's impacting you, but 99.9% of all military operations would go on as normal.
