Huh, yes the shutdown does effect the military. I had orders cancelled as well. I know of multiple training missions that will get cancelled if this isn’t resolved. Unless you work at the pentagon and have more insight than us, then you are wrong.

Schumer calls for a cloture vote tonight and McConnell objected. A failed cloture vote tonight would effectively shutdown the government tonight allowing for a 24 hr news circus tomorrow as Ds try to "negotiate" a deal to avoid shutdown. It looks like McConnell is going to try to run the clock out on them and force a vote with not time left on the clock.

Senate isn't scheduled to open until 11:00 am. Last House vote is at 11:00 am and then House is expected to release members for the weekend. This points to the only option on the table being the current CR that is DOA in Senate (if the Ns don't flip).
