at least 6, likely 8, but Robert E Lee's state has become reliably blue

1. incumbent Democrat Joe Manchin trails by 14 points
2. North Dakota, where incumbent Democrat Heidi Heitkamp trails by 8
3. Indiana, where incumbent Democrat Joe Donnelly trails by 5
4. Missouri, where incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill trails by 5
5. Montana, where incumbent Democrat Jon Tester trails by 5

6. Florida, where incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson is locked in a near-deadlock with Rick Scott

3 Dems slim lead:
and Pennsylvania and Ohio, where incumbent Democrats Bill Casey and Sherrod Brown are
leading by less than two points each,
plus Virginia, where Tim Kaine leads by just 3 on the generic ballot

It’s only May. But I don’t see a blue wave in Senate.

I wish I could vote against a resistor this year!

Pretty damn hard to have a wave election in a cycle where you control about 22 of 33 seats being contested.

The only seats they might be able to capture are Arizona and Tennessee due to retirements and Nevada due to a weak incumbent. And that doesn’t go into the amount of defense they are having to play.

Republicans will most certainly keep the Senate. I just wish they would get to 60 with Trump in office.

How is Tim Kaine electable? Has there ever been a more punchable face in politics?

Rather take my chances stacked with 60 than the obstruction of under 51

What about the seats the GOP likely loses? Nevada and Arizona.

A year ago McCaskill didn’t have a chance.

With the republican governor probably going to get impeached soon it will hurt all republicans in Missouri.

If he doesn’t get impeached it will hurt republicans even more.

Republicans should pick up atleast 2 more seats in the senate. 9 is really a dream but 6 is defense possibly. 9 would be possible if the republicans could get some good news before the election or get some good dirt on some of these democrat incumbents.

Every election, McCaskill looks vulnerable.

I’d bet on her retaining the seat until something develops to say differently.
