Doesn't really seem to me like Trump needs an invitation to give input or get involved.

So, no? That's sort of what I suspected.

Yea, I'm sure there was no communication whatsoever and the transition team had no idea there was a CR in the works until Monday.

He’s technically not the President yet.

What does that have to do with anything?

He can’t be officially involved in anything yet. That’s what it has to do with anything.

They’re throwing everything they have at him now. You really think they wouldn’t use that against him?

People outside of the Congressional sacred halls write these bills. Who knew what was in it beforehand?

No way that Speaker Mike didn't know what was in it in general. He went on Fox and Friends and said it was just money for hurricanes and farmers.

THIS IS WHO Cramer should be pissed at.

Also tell me they didn't all know in general what was in it. Pork and BS, an undeserved payraise, and protections for Lizzie's and future emails.

He can talk with any member of Congress that he wants to at any time.

The CR was a bad bill, not disputing that. Just believe that it could have died or been improved sooner without the fanfare.

On the other, it is obnoxious how so many people who probably knew what was going on and contributed to it are releasing statements about Mike Johnson. He's the Speaker so it falls to him, but pretending this stuff was done in complete isolation is so lame and just insults the intelligence of constituents.
Well, on that note, in Trump's (or any other non-Congressional person with interest), defense that's a time honored political trap.

Work up a bill or something on paper, sit on it but put out rumors of negative aspects, get them to jump on it- then release it when it never existed.

It is a double-whammy:
1. The person reacting looks foolish and uninformed
2. The focus falls on the fake item while others now avoid scrutiny.

Is Donald Trump already President? Shouldn't the current President and/or VP be the ones coming forward to deal with the issue?

What a giant, gaping vagina (Cramer). The CR was dropped on the House around 6pm Tuesday and they were supposed to vote on it yesterday. About the first 50 pages are on funding the continued running of the federal government, the rest (around 1,500 pages) is extra spending, an attempt to give themselves a raise, an attempt to block investigation of potential illegalities by the J6 Committee, etc.

If he's so fricking stupid that he doesn't realize that a 1,500+ page CR is prima facie bad, ESPECIALLY when you have less than 24 hours to try to read it, then he doesn't need to be doing anything more difficult than watching paint dry.

They impeached him and barely missed a coup de grace for the exact same thing.

Your summation is spot on.

Shut up, Kevin.

I’m pissed that they threw together a CR and tried to vote on it in 24 hours. When should Trump have intervened?

The last CR was like 50 pages long for 85 days. This one was 1500 pages for 84 days. Hiding all sorts of crap in there.

Just replicate the one from last time, get through the holidays and when the new house and senate are in session.

They NEVER threw this CR together in a few days. They plotted and strategized this bill for months. They knew they had Johnson in the bag to once again fool us.

They are so mad that the threat of the impending holiday is being turned back on them. They usually use that to goad everyone else to jump onboard and vote for their dog shite CR. Now they have to stay and miss some of their time off to work it out instead. It’s too perfect.
