re: What were your most used wedding gifts?
Posted by AUTiger1978 on 4/24/24 at 5:44 pm
Because of longevity, I would have to say our whiskey glasses. Appliances have long since died and all the other kitchen things, like China, are probably rarely used. ...

Agreed, on the work ethic. I just think he was maxed out as far as his potential. He seemingly worked his arse off and still was just a middle of the SEC-caliber pg. seems to kinda prove my point that he went about as far as his body type could take him as a pg on a basketball court. I appreciate him...

I have always questioned Tre’s ability to be a #1 pg because he just isn’t built right to have the explosive first step that’s necessary. Not saying he is fat, just that his stockier build means he has a lot more mass to get moving than most true #1 pg’s. Hard to beat a guy puts in the same amount o...

On the original topic, yikes! Nobody wants to see that.
Now, on to your gnashing of teeth on “old boomers” pining for yesteryear? As a Gen-Xer, I truly believe the 90’s were the best decade as long as you lived in the ‘burbs. Home quality was quite nice and pretty much everyone had A/C. Prices we...

When people post stuff like this why don’t the let us know who this dip$hit jboy is? Then at least we would know if he is some asshat who has controversial takes on sports radio for attention or just some dumbass on Twitter/X.
And, yes, this guy is a moron. Only some Johnny come lately AU BB fan...

While true, we don’t seem to have this problem with basketball. Either Bruce sets clearer expectations or recruits athletes that see the big picture. Granted it’s much easier to do on a team of 15, as opposed to a football roster. ...
re: that was a season. | 27-7 (13-5)
Posted by AUTiger1978 on 3/6/24 at 1:57 am
Just got back home from the game. Three observations from this game:
1. It was fun to predict at halftime that we would wear them down with our rotation in the second half. This depth is something special.
2. The Mizzou guard Honor is the most non-basketball looking basketball player I have ever ...
And at the time that was happening the refs were calling fouls every time Tenn got breathed on. It's not a coincidence that at the same time their offense exploded. Both teams were in the freaking double bonus with like ten minutes left in the game.
The thing that gets me is we got...
re: Settle a debate please… Russia vs. Ukraine
Posted by AUTiger1978 on 2/20/24 at 10:25 pm
I support spending money domestically. The only thing U.S. money should go to outside of our borders is assuring that sea lanes remain open. U.S. Navy should frick up anyone getting in the way of free and open trade on the seas. No money for any other country until we get our shite together here, whic...

re: Rennis Rinke: We can’t stop at $95 Billion to Ukraine
Posted by AUTiger1978 on 2/14/24 at 8:09 am
Are we talking about the same Ukraine? The one who imprisons journalists that don’t think right, shut down opposing parties and makes corrupt elements of the U.S. government look like amateurs?
If so, I don’t really think we are losing much. We might as well just pile up $95 billion in front of t...
re: Paramount lays off 800+ Including CBS journalist Catherine Herridge
Posted by AUTiger1978 on 2/13/24 at 5:25 pm
Herridge is the real deal. Her investigative work and willingness to go to the mat for her sources is admirable. It’s unfortunate that news pundits are the only ones that have found a way to make money going independent. Hope she figure out how to make that happen or finds a new outlet with integrit...

How ‘bout no naturalized citizens working on top secret national defense projects unless they arrived as children. It’s ridiculous that we would allow some guy that came as an adult to be anywhere near information like this. ...

68% of these morons want to ban private air conditioning in the name of climate change. What’s wrong with these people? Do they think about how many people that would kill or do they just see that as a feature of the policy?...

I don’t think most conservatives on a jury would be willing to abuse the law in that way. Maybe I am delusional, but the average conservative doesn’t strike me as someone who would be willing to betray their ethics to engage in lawfare. ...
