I think you are really underestimating the part of the electorate that will immediately vote for the other party because the previous person they voted for did not live up to their promises.
It doesn’t make sense to me because each parties platform is clear and I vote by party, but there’s a lot of people that aren’t that way. They will gladly vote against what they want just out of spite and then complain later.

The GOP is about to get the landslide loss they worked for. It looks to me that the GOP is getting wiped out in the Senate, Texas, Iowa, Florida, South Carolina, Alaska, Nebraska, Maine, North Carolina look hopeless. They may lose 50 House seats. Trump is in for a very miserable 2 years.

There is no way they retain both the house and senate.
The issue is, they might lose seats they haven't lost in forever like Andy Barrs house seat. If that goes blue, it will never come back.

It matters only in the sense that yes, the DC GOP is doing what they do best - nothing.
But the Marxist Democratic Party WILL do something - they’ll turn the final 2 years aggressively going after Trump and anyone associated with him.
In addition they’ll resume instituting their radical agenda for America and if you enjoyed the Biden years, you’ll love what the Marxists have in store.
So people might think this election will punish the GOP and “teach em a lesson” but at the end of the day, the only ones who’ll really be paying a price ….will be all of us.
