It’s going to be bad. Dems will have the numbers to impeach and remove if they can flip a few establishment republicans

Tell us how 67 fricking senators are going to vote for removal.

It matters only in the sense that yes, the DC GOP is doing what they do best - nothing. But the Marxist Democratic Party WILL do something - they’ll turn the final 2 years aggressively going after Trump and anyone associated with him. In addition they’ll resume instituting their radical agenda for America and if you enjoyed the Biden years, you’ll love what the Marxists have in store. So people might think this election will punish the GOP and “teach em a lesson” but at the end of the day, the only ones who’ll really be paying a price ….will be all of us.

Yep. Conservative voters aligning themselves with commie tranny Muslims are extremely retarded. We got a few of them here

I know. Prices are up so everyone's sitting out. Of course, that means prices will remain up and we'll get a ton of other fun left wing bullshite as a bonus, but hey, principles right?

No one fricks themselves harder than Republicans.

It’s not Republicans. They’ll be some loss of Republica votes but probably not substantial. It’s Independents. They represent the largest voting block by far and 45% voted for Trump in 2024. Right now they are breaking for Dems in midterm polling by 25 points.

Yes, electing folks that see your state as backwards flyover state is certainly going to help them.

At the end of the day, that decision is going to cost the RNC dearly.

Congress has sent weapons to Ukraine and Israel to fight their wars and did it without Trump in office.

The Democrats’ own idiocy chased all those independent voters to Trump. That’s how bad the Democrats were, and are still, I would argue. Even more so now, I would also argue.

Exactly what explanation do you have as to why and what will have forced those same people to say “As bad as the Democrats were and are, we’re still better off with them than this,” thus reversing their migration back to the Dem(s)??

That is part of the problem. The Congress has done almost nothing passing legislation.

Leave Trump aside for the moment. Part of the problem is the quality of Congressman or Senator.

Go back to the 90's. We had guys like Newt, Dick Armey, Delay (before he became really corrupt), Gramm, Coverdel, Kyl. Even the Dems, knuckleheads as they were, had a couple of decent blokes such as Lieberman, Nunn, and Moynihan.

Look at the quality of what we have now. See many stalwarts? See many foreign policy experts? Guys who made themselves experts on tax policy such as Gramm, Kemp, or Ryan? Or any actual thinkers such as Newt?

Nope.

The Tards have been warned that independents and under 35 voters were leaving the MAGA bandwagon. They refuse to see it.

I’ve already posted the explanation in this thread:

quote:

Your problem is that you don’t understand scale, public political ignorance, and momentum.

The people on this board aren’t the issue. The issue the 20-30% of the US voting population who vote on their current station in life as well as the narrow understanding of political events. It’s why, as someone posted earlier, the sitting Presidential party usually loses the midterms. It’s easy to for the party out of power to pin anything negative on the controlling party.

So in order to maintain political power, the party of the President has to have some actual objective successes that it can run on with no major political blunders. That clearly isn’t the case in this second term.

Here is the flaw in your thinking.

We agree on communism and socialism. Same thing but different means are used. HOWEVER......

The wall fell over 30 years ago. More than a generation have grown up not knowing anything about the evils of communism. As Rush said, you have to keep teaching your ideas. What we are doing now is name calling. We say boo with "communism" and expect it to work when frankly, too many are ignorant about it.

We aren't presenting ideas while they are and THAT is the problem.

It’s this level of delusion and arrogance that will lead to your inevitable pecker slapping come November

Just like the Dems of 2016

What types of challenges and obstacles might those folks you mentioned there have to deal with now that they didn’t have to deal with then, at least certainly nowhere near the extent to which we see today?

And would the aforementioned “new” challenges and obstacles prevalent today have ultimately resulted in different actions on their part and thus a different historical view of them??

Yep.

My decision to vote against my republican congressman in the next election really isn't about Trump. It's about my neocon congressman that is owned by AIPAC who never pushes conservative issues or does anything other than support the establishment.

Same for senators.

If they were conservatives, I'd happily vote for each and every one of them. But they are not. They are part of the problem.

Might not matter in my state, but they won't be elected by my vote.

I will continue to vote republican when it comes to state politicians. That's the main reason I'll be voting. They are the ones that are most important.

Trump would not get my vote again if he was up for election, but he's not. The fault of Trump in this is that Trump attacked conservatives instead of getting more of them nominated.

Personally, I think the republicans want the democrats to win the house so they have someone to blame.

Republicans never do anything to improve life for Americans though. They just tell us how much worse democrats are.
