It's really amazing that people do not know the differences between a libertarian and a conservative.
Roger and some other proudly stated they were libertarians. Here's the difference:
Libertarianism Is Not Conservatism
libertarians believe “that each person has the right to live his life in any way he chooses so long as he respects the equal rights of others.”
A charitable characterization of conservatives would say that they, too, value individual liberty. But unlike libertarians, conservatives readily subordinate liberty to other values, like tradition, security, religious faith, and a particular idea of order. A more critical characterization of conservatism would note that nativism and nationalism often, at the very least, coexist comfortably with conservatism.
Libertarians support free trade and free immigration. Conservative prefer free trade unless barriers are put in place and are for a controlled immigration policy.
His belief would have our nation so flooded with people that there would be no jobs and the economy really tank.
Conservatism is a political theory designed to secure the blessings of liberty, while libertarianism is simply and only a market theory. Understanding this distinction is vital if we are to preserve the unique system our Founders intended.

Dammit Rand.
He made some constitutional argument about it being a tax so it’s congress purview. Republicans hate winning.

Then he needs to push to reverse the power given to the President over the years on this matter.

Pathetic. Canada has bought 51 senators.
It’s purely symbolic though and will not pass the House and, even if it did, Trump would veto it.

You also claim to be principled yourself but claim you voted for Trump. Which is it?

McConnell and Paul voted with the Democrats.

Easily.
I believe they've both released statements.
I'm cooking for my dog right now but maybe later I'll go google and post them.

At this point McConnell will do anything to spite Trump.
That seizure having frick needs to croak , but then the Governor of KY is a Dem so he will appoint a dem until a special election.

Is Rand supposed to change his long held belief that free trade is good for America?
Its not free trade when we have to pay and country xyz can charge us. That's being used as a financial punching bag. How about he say until its free trade it must be fair. Rand Paul is a coward who gets to hide behind his principals even when it harms the country.
