It took ten minutes to rattle off a post with over 700 words.
Then you put out over a 200 word one just now.
I’m really not convinced how busy you actually are.

They didn't deny shite. That's just artful wordsmithing from their legal or PR department.

I think even you are capable of going back a few pages in the thread. I mean, why else did you link it?

Who?
Value there but hidden? Sounds like they overpaid to me.
Note the comment about P&G overpaying in this article

Mhmmm. If you have people reporting to you. That’s like five dollars answering to 50 cents.
I knew it.
I knew you got offended by the number of 8bbn and tying that to “Gillette lost some money”

This is going to be worse than the Firestone fiasco decades ago.

It's a non-apology filled with legal loopholes. F#&% 'em. Hope every police department in the country starts buying Cooper.

Their net profit margin was already negative 32% while paying close to a 7% dividend, their investors were about to get fricked either way. They were already bound and gagged on the edge of the plank.... Trump just nudged them off.

Yuuup. They aren’t backtracking.
They just think this explanation gives them cover.
We normally dont allow any opinions, but we made an exception for these that we say are ok in our work place.

First, the visual in question was not created or distributed by Goodyear corporate, nor was it part of a diversity training class.
“Rather, it was created by a 3rd party company who we hired to provide “equity and leadership seminars” to our employees. It wasn’t a diversity training class as has been claimed. We at Goodyear corporate would never directly do what was alleged...”
At least that’s my interpretation of their statement

They think throwing word soup at their stance will hide their stance. It won't Goodyear is dead to me. Add them to the NFL, MLB, NBA, etc etc.
It is the fact there are far less expensive, better tires is why I gave up on Goodyear 30 years ago. Not that this would encourage me to try them again

The people that runs these major global companies are generally conservative. They also know that being woke helps sales, but being too woke hurts sales.
It's a fine line to follow. If they aren't woke enough, then their union employees get upset. If they are too woke, then a significant portion of their customer base gets upset.
In Goodyear's case, I imagine they also sell a lot of stuff to police departments.

Yes yes. Blm isn't political. Most blm donations go to the Democrats. Democrats give blm the power to act against their political enemies.
It's like claiming a few decades ago that the klan wasn't political.

That is a weird reality. A testimony of someone who lives in a trailer park full of white trash. It is a complete 180 from my reality. While I see those types of people around town, I have little to no association with them. I equate them to the inner city blacks who vote 99% democrat. Both likely vote the way they do because they are uninformed simpletons who fall in line with those around them on Election Day.
I am an executive at a pretty large company. We do business in 14 States. For the most part, political talk is avoided in depth while with clients. But every office visit, lunch, or dinner engagement I have with other senior level leaders always has a tacit reference to current events taking place. Every single conversation results in the same unified conclusion. The modern democrat party is way off the rails. Beyond crazy.
It has zero to due with fear of change. Change and adaptation are healthy when utilized for the greater good. What is happening today is nowhere close to that. We see a marxists power grab that will cripple and weaken our nation beyond recovery. We see the push for an authoritative globalized oligarchy. We see censorship and the incremental proposals of more liberties to be eroded away. If we fear anything it is that we will have to water the tree of Liberty with blood (our enemies and our own) to protect our prodigy’s futures as well as our own.

It’s wise for me to disregard your expertise and the multiple attempts for you to arrive at this.

I mean, you're the one that threw out a revenue decrease of 8B. Feel free to disregard this too

I can, however, look at the YoY revenues of the Grooming/Shave Care division in P&G's financials and tell you that 8B is a stupid number to throw out for decrease in revenue.

I fully support Goodyear, as a private company, to allow their employees to support whatever causes they allow.
But at least be a man about it and not try to poetically explain your way out of it when you get caught.
Just say “we hate the police, white people, and straight people but we still want them to buy our tires”.

Actually they’re not. They’re based in places like New York, Chicago, London, etc. and are in the same bubble as the politicians and the press.
