Here's the thing, ask employers why they use the immigrant labor. It's more than hourly cost. I know a pool contractor who uses immigrant labor because they are more reliable than the native born labor. They show up when they say they will show up. They don't call in sick ( native born do). They don't bring drama to work. They decrease the longevity of the project so the contractor saves money long term.

Livestock and agriculture are a multi-million dollar industry and they make great use of state-of-the-art technology and equipment.

Some things never change. Democrats in 1865, "Who is going to pick our cotton?"

And Epstein clients having sex with 15-17 year olds doesn’t technically make them a pedo but good luck if that’s the hill you want to die on.

Ah. Grew up on a dairy farm in the 70s/80s. Not sure this would be “robotic” (I assume this is still how it’s done, but have no idea). Even this required only three guys to milk 200-300 head twice a day, though the morning took longer. I imagine they had these since the 30s, 40s at least. It ain’t rocket science. A generator creates a vacuum that ‘pulses’, and the cows are locked in by the neck as they feed from a trough. Release and let some more in. They learn what to do cause they’re getting fed. Routine as hell, though it smells like shite, literally. That is one dumb woman to make that comment.
Don’t think anyone’s making ‘bank’ today, though, as some have suggested, based on the limited amount of reading I do about the dairy industry.

I’ve milked plenty of times. The work itself isn’t that bad,
One of my chores when I was a kid - have never liked milk since. So glad when we moved to town.

And haven't in over 40 years.

Very true. But, I do have fond memories of Spring afternoons watching cows being playful and rambunctious out in the fields.
Sigh. Such simpler times.

The history of slavery isn’t defined by its relatively brief existence of Africans being brought to the new world.
It’s existed in many forms, over time & across the globe.
Some even got paid, and were freed after a time but we’re still forced to work until then..
Trying to dismiss all forms that don’t fall in your narrow idea makes you look foolish.

Does this heifer know that no one's sitting on a damn bucket, hand-milking cows?
Yes, they do. I read a story a couple of years ago about a milk farm closing in Waco. Interviewed worker told how the cows would orderly file into each milking stall at designated times. One funny story he recalled was two cows getting into a fight over a stall to be milked first.

ALL forms of slavery have one thing in common - Compulsion. You are the fool.

I’m somewhat impressed she understands milk comes from cows.

Dairy farms used milking machines even in the 1950's from experience of my family's annual visit to friends with a dairy farm north of Ft Worth.

Yeah, I remember seeing milking machines when I was a kid on the farms back in the early 70s.
