Georgia deserves everything they get and much worse.

Once a state gets to that point, it's beyond saving. Any Republicans that can leave, do, then the gap just widens.

I live in a very red congressional district (Georgia's 11th) and a solidly red part of that district (over 80% voted for Kemp over Gap Tooth in 2022).
This was during lunch, FWIW...
I thought the PT regulars had agreed several years ago that GA was purple leaning decidedly blue?

Voted today in Cobb County at lunchtime. I thought it was gonna be jam-packed, but sadly I walked right in and voted almost immediately.

I voted last Friday and it was packed. My parents and inlaws also voted early. My wife is currently at the polls right now. We all live in Bartow.

It’s a good state at its core but it drags some anchors for sure.
Blacks have had it great in GA under Republican rule. They make good money, are hired for well paying jobs. Have 500,000 dollar homes. Starting to dominate in Gwinnett Co.
No other state has more affluent black people than GA.
The white liberal women will turn the state blue.
It's probably why so many republicans in GA are week. They bend the knee.
I'd say fuk em except it's a state we need to keep republican.

Umm if you think Rick Jackson sucks you are going to love Keisha Lance Bottoms and you are a prime example of Georgia Republicans: “meh Republicans aren’t conservative enough”. You people act like if Barry Goldwater doesn’t rise from the dead then you can’t be bothered with showing up. How conservative do you think Governor Bottoms will be? Lol the same goofy excuses every election

The entire state of GA set a record for early voting - 2.8 million. The previous record was 2.3 million.

That's why you need to be careful with one experience. I'm hearing, rural turnout is heavy. It may not counter culture votes in urban areas, but it's still a great thing.

Georgia has had insanely high early voting this election season. The boards of elections have been talking about it.

State GOP said they needed to see 1.3 to 1.4 million election day voters to have a realistic chance of overcoming the early vote lead projected for Democrats.
As of 10am the projection was for roughly 1.2 million. Midday the projection had gone up to 1.4 million.
At 5:00 the actual number was right at a million so the total projection has dropped back to 1.1 to 1.2 million.
By law all early votes have to be tabulated and reported by 8:00 eastern. The difference in raw vote totals between Collins (Senate) and Jackson (Governor) in those early returns should be a good forecast for the outcome. Do enough people split their ticket away from Bottoms and other state level Democrats to give Jackson and the other Republicans a fighting chance?

I was the only person voting in my spot at like 130 in west Cobb

I vote early straight GOP as usual.
I really don’t think the historic ratio with overwhelming Dem support in EV is accurate
Traffic in metro is terrible and GOP will vote early as their schedule allow

I voted (red) in East Cobb around 1:30pm today. Had three people in front of me.

The correlation is looking at the people who early voted and then seeing which primary they voted in earlier in the year.
Now it's possible some who voted in the Democrat primary will split their ticket and vote for some Republican candidates, like Jackson, but that's a very small percentage of those Democrat primary voters.

Georgia turnout.Turn out was abysmal. No line at all. Over half of the booths were empty.
You voted at 4pm? I wouldn't think that's a peak time.
