Holy shite. You actually believe this.

Pathetic.

You explain a democrat getting this high of a percentage of the vote in a deep red district that had been that way for almost 40 years.

Reporting went from 4% to 9% and Ossoff got a 3 point haircut. First results had him up 71%, complimented by a chorus if liberals orgasms. Currently 57.8%. Democrats are sooooo bad at math. Runoff forthcoming. Hang an (R) on this one. Goodnight...

ETA: Now 20% reporting; lost another point. 56.7
ETA: Now 23% reporting; lost another 1.1 point. 55.6

most representative of the Republican coalition out of any district in Georgia

No, that would be the 8th up in NE GA. Poor, white, uneducated, rural.

Credit democrats for whittling their field down to Osoff and shame on the GOP for not whittling the field down to at least 2 candidates.

That kind of strategy shite show like that is how JBE won in Louisiana.

This x 1000

Why are Republicans always so consistent in their stupidity?

Ossof is not going to win. This time next year he will be shooting a new documentary about sustainable agriculture and living in his mom's basement.

Holy shite. They spent $8m?!?

He raised 8 million at least.

Not sure the total breakdown but The Daily Kos cobbled together $1 million from readers, he got a lot in small donations, something like 200,000 altogether, averaging $42 each.

Its not like this is one-sided though. A GOP fund shoveled 2.2 million into the race just to try and attack Ossoff.

This is why I do not like jungle primary systems and want to do away with it. It tears up party unity in the process and the month long period until the runoff is not enough time to heal things as evidenced by the fact that Vitter couldn't get Dardenne and Angelle's voters over to his side.

No it isn't accurate. This part of ATL has seen a lot of growth in ethnic minorities and transplants from the northeast as the Fortune500 type companies continue to expand.

While a Republican has represented the district for decades, it's not the most ruby red district in the nation, especially in recent years.

The Cook PVI has it at R+8 right now.

Yes and no. The 6th is deeply red, and in a normal near no Democrat should sniff a runoff in a jungle.

But today's 6th isn't the same as Gingrich's 6th, either geographically or demographically.

Ha, they may have avoided this by not mentioning any R candidates by name. I have heard hundreds of ads on am radio and they are all Ossoff or Ossoff-is-bad ads with no opposing candidate mentioned.
