Not me! Economic stances remain king for me.

Frankly, that is a reprehensible view to hold.
re: 170 Voters in Ohio Race ‘Over 116 Years Old,’ World’s Oldest Person Is 115

This is how I vote:
I walk up to the table of my precinct with two old ladies that are volunteers.
I tell them my name.
They have a print out of registered voters and they turn to the page where my name and address is listed.
They then ask for my ID.
The first lady looks at it and makes sure my name and address match the voter roll. She then calls on the old lady next to her to look at the roll and my ID for double verification.
Once they agree that my ID and my voter roll info is copacetic, I then sign next to my name on the voter roll.
I am then allowed into the booth.
To vote, I have to be registered, have two people agree that my ID matches my roll entry and then provide my signature.
This is the exact procedure they use at my precinct, and from my experience so far, the poll workers do it in an efficient but fast manner.
Having the ID verification makes complete sense.

Sessions serves at the pleasure of the President. He can resign or be fired by Trump at any time.

What other First Ladies had separate bedrooms.
Actually, if you cared to do some research, you'd discover that many Presidents and First Ladies had separate bedrooms in the White House. JFK and Jackie and Harry and Bess Truman are two examples.
It's not an uncommon arrangement.

re: Vermont has a Republican governor.
Posted by CaptChandler on 7/24/18 at 10:51 am
Like others have said in this thread, the dynamics of state politics are often different than at the national level. Still, Phil Scott and his northeastern Republican colleagues like Larry Hogan in Maryland and Charlie Baker in Massachusetts are really moderate to center-left leaning Republicans. They have to be given the political dynamics of their respective states.

Maybe you should figure out what treason actually is before you falsely accuse others of committing it.

re: If Ginsburg died tomorrow, can their be 2 confirmations..
Posted by CaptChandler on 7/9/18 at 11:13 pm
I was pretty young when it happened, but but in the summer of 2005 Sandra Day O’Connor announced her retirement, then Chief Justice Rehnquist died a few months later. The Chief Justice position was filled first, and O’Connor agreed to remain in her position until Alito was confirmed in January of 2006.
I’m not sure if two confirmation hearings have happened in a closer timespan other than that though. Something new to put on my list of things to research!

Truth.
Mister Rogers is my personal hero, and though I fail sometimes in my quest to be a good neighbor, I know he would like me and all of us just the way we are, despite our shortcomings.
ETA: The way his show was structured and the way he addressed tough childhood topics is nothing short of genius. Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood is possibly the greatest TV show of all time.
