You have it backwards.

Desantis is the most effective, popular, conservative Governor in America and they've managed to get a bunch of people to call him a RINO or something.

Trump had his chance and is almost 80, its over for him.

If DeSantis wins the nomination and Trump manages to convince people to stay home in November, swinging the election to Biden, Trump will be right up there with Benedict Arnold as arguably the greatest traitor in American history.

Foreign interference is no longer a crime?

Remember when a handful of Russians operating a tin can bot farm that posted a couple hundred K worth of Facebook ads and then GOT INDICTED by the DOJ?

You know none of that is going to happen, but keep up the sensationalism

And I mean Trump won’t tell anyone to stay home

I didn't embrace people who told Republican voters to stay home in Georgia, which cost us the Senate.

I didn't lose to a guy with dementia.

I don't think he will, but it wouldn't surprise if he did or embraced people who did so.

He embraced Lin Wood and Sidney Powell and constantly bragged about how smart they were. He paraded them around Georgia leading up to the runoffs. Wood and Powell told GOP voters to boycott the runoff and not vote, which helped hand 2 seats over to the Democrats.

He also called Brian Kemp a traitor and said that Stacey Abrams "might very well be better" than Kemp as Governor of Georgia. I wouldn't be surprised if he said Biden "might very well be better" than DeSantis as President.

Trump defends Abrams

quote:

“Of course, having her I think might be better than having your existing governor, if you want to know the truth,” he noted, prompting overwhelming boos from his crowd of mostly maskless supporters. “Might very well be better,” he added.

Are you sure about that? The GOPe might want to continue the Ukraine spending.

No one anticipated that DeSantis would run such a terrible campaign. Maybe the lesson learned is that the establishment GOP (the people that ran his campaign) are further out of touch than anyone thought. I'm not sure the Republican Party has any idea what it's doing, with regard to connecting with its base. I guess that's what happens when your most influential members (Graham, McConnell et al) are more like allies for the DNC.
