In a wide-ranging speech, Soros ripped Trump’s presidency and complemented elements of DeSantis’s style.
“DeSantis is shrewd, ruthless, and ambitious,” said Soros, adding, “He is likely to be the Republican candidate.”
Trump, on the other hand, “has turned into a pitiful figure continually bemoaning his loss in 2020. Big Republican donors are abandoning him in droves,” he said.

I’ve been hearing about the Republican Party being forced to rebuild itself for 40 years.
Soros knows good and well nothing is getting “reformed” as long as both sides are raking in cash.

Since when has George Soro's spoken out about republican politics? He usually goes for the dem marxist that he silently funneled money to. His own country kicked him out on his arse.
So he is rarely this profoundly animated to practically endorse DeSantis. Why has his schtick changed? He never made headlines saying OMB before, pinning him against another...
He must be confident in his ploy and big time bought off some GOP establishment that align with Paul Ryan, Bush's, McCain, Romney & gang.
Why hasn't DeSantis fired Christina Pushaw? She broke a USA FARA violation working for George Soros.

Trump really has an uphill battle here despite the early positive polls. Most Republicans do not like Trump’s foreign and economic policies. For example most Republicans want to continue with Ukraine war spending and most Republicans want loose trade with China. Trump wants a peace deal and tough trade with China. Just on those two issues alone Trump is going to have a hard sell within the GOP. The GOP generally loves sending money to Ukraine and easy trade with China.
