The gheys won that propaganda as evidenced by the "conservatives" support.

People should have the opportunity to vote concerning abortion and gay marriage (in-person only and without mail-in ballots). These two issues are too important to be left to a handful of judges on the Supreme Court.

Does two dudes being married affect your day to day life?

If they are happy, successful members of society and pay their taxes who gives a shite?

My issue is just because you can get married doesn't mean you should. That goes for gay, straight, leprechaun and Martians.

That apathy manifest all over the place. We’ve stopped caring about our communities and each other.

It’s a sign of how bad things are in America.

I agree. Gay marriage is not a constitutional right. If two people want to have a committed relationship benefits of marriage, I have no problem but it is not marriage.

I'm going to guess that a lot of "conservatives" in this thread are vocally defending what was not too long ago a progressive agenda item.

After Obergfell, the Supreme Court actually completely rewrote the definition of "Sex" in the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to hold that mentally disturbed trannies are covered by the act -- Gorsuch did this while admitting that it was clear that the act was not meant to apply to trannies.

They don’t care. They wanted gay marriage and they got it. The collateral damage is apparently unimportant.

Gay marriage should get looked at again just like abortion will by GatorReb

Why does it matter to you what two consenting adults do with their marriage life?

I do not agree with their choices but that’s their choices to make.

That form of government reach I don’t want to see. Why should the government decide what two consulting adults do in marriage

Because the two are not even in the same hemisphere in my political and moral opinions.

What we should be seeking is an end to government 'marriage.' Return marriage to the churches and let consenting adults enter into semi-irrevocable personal contracts which provide similar benefits to what marriages offer.

Either marriage should be regulated as a union between one man and one woman or (preferably) that government should not be involved in it at all except to settle disputes from divorce.

Why? This issue is old hat. Americans of both parties widely accept this. Even opponents of gay marriage have long since moved on.

Because as long as the federal government is in the business of rewarding marriage, they are obligated to extend the option to all consenting adults regardless of which sex they are wedded to.

Get rid of federal benefits and tax breaks for married couples, then we can talk.

I wonder how many men on this board like be willing to give up the federal benefits of marriage in order to get rid of gay marriage?

My guess is not many

Absolutely not.

Marriage is designed to produce children, which benefits the state. And in turn, why the state protects and promotes it.
