I think the only way to watch college football this year will be to mute the sound.
Since everyone with a website can now be a radio show, this could be an opportunity for some enterprising people to provide a straight sports cast audio alternative over the Internet to go with televised games. That would really chap the talking heads arses where it hurts them the most.

If you can find an online feed of the radio, it will be more delayed than the tv. Then pause the tv with dvr to sync.
