Why complain about $4.99 gas then?

Because gas prices were on the downward trend before this unnecessary war.

Stop blaming the people trying to live their lives for the ineptitude of Trump/Rubio/Lindsey Graham/ Israel first foreign policy.

Is it weird that this many people freak out over an extra dollar a gallon? I have 14 gallon tank and fill up once a week…

I do get that mileage may very, pun intended because fck you, and the broader economic effects but the muh car gas bill shite is wild.

This board had a hard on for the "I did that" Biden stickers but refuse to acknowledge this was a misstep by Trump. Iran has been weeks away from a nuke for decades at this point. It wasn't necessary and we're now at a stalemate with an irrational nation.

I've generally agreed with most of his policy but this is a shitshow.

It's the car gas bill and the ancillary effects. It's an extra $100+/month for me and another $75ish for my wife. We aren't OT rich so yeah, it is noticeable. It's going to raise prices on everything else too. I voted for literally the opposite of this. I didn't want bullshite "but they're gonna do it this time" wars. I didn't vote for inflation.

I live in Granger (South Bend white flight suburb) and the gas station on the corner near my neighborhood was $4.99 today. It's always been higher in this area than the national average, but frick me this is rediculous.

Yeah it's killing my wife and I. We both drive an hour to work. We still like Trump but it's getting harder.

Damn I’m paying less than that for diesel…maybe your governor should consider that redistricting since the USSC just ruled in our favor and y’all can lower the taxes on fuel. Also, just got back from killing some turkeys in Kansas and diesel was damn near a dollar cheaper there than it is here in Texas so don’t give me any of that transportation cost nonsense.

$4.99 all over Indianapolis. Drove to Ohio through Cincinnati to about 1 hour north and anywhere from $4.69-$4.99.

Comparing the prices of common household goods to what they were back in his younger days, local old man George Swander reportedly remembered Tuesday when things cost roughly the same as now after adjusting for inflation. “Back in my day, you see, you could get a hamburger for just 15 cents, which, when taking into account steady economic growth and the increase in federal monetary creation over time, is about the same as it is now,” said Swander, recalling that he used to be able to get by on just a few bucks a week that, in relative terms, equaled roughly the same amount that his expenses came out to today. “When I see how much even basic stuff like food and household items cost nowadays, I’m always shocked until I factor inflation into it, and then it’s just like I was back in 1954. Your dollar used to go about the same distance once you take overall adjusted economic growth into account, believe me.” The old man added that he even remembered when minimum-wage jobs paid roughly the same amount as they do now after seeing the hourly rate was exactly the same
