I disagree Kelly is definitely a guru at losing big games and underperforming expectations.
Just go to the local cattleman’s livestock auction and find you a couple nice lame Charolais. They will eat real nice and be cheap and then you don’t have to worry about having problems with the neighbors as others have said these situations rarely work out where one side isn’t pissed off at the other in the end. Example: some of his cows get sick…that sickness will have 100% came from your cows in his eyes.
So I normally don’t drop over $1k on boots unless they are made from some exotic leather and I happen to like the pattern…mostly gators. Please educate me on these simple looking boots I must be missing something. Are they extremely warm? They say water resistant so I’m guessing my feet can still get wet? I just can’t understand the price point.
From what I’ve been told there are no green jeans running around the national forests due to the shutdown. Do with that information what you will and have fun fellas!!
Cranor’s is really good…booked with I believe Donald a few years ago to learn how to catch big browns. We went in February and it was freezing but we caught a lot of nice fish and I learned how to do it on my own after that day trip.

I’m not sure how to post pictures, but we use a setup like on our property in NW Arkansas in conjunction with a cattle guard and don’t have any issues. Hope this helps.

Imagine catching double digit donkeys on an $80 bait. ????
Benelli SBE II in 3.5” with a 28” barrel is what I shoot and I’ll never own anything else for my bird hunting. You will be very pleased!!
I’m hesitant to jump in the middle of this back-and-forth since it’s clear there’s some history here I don’t know about. That said, I’ll share my perspective. My brothers and I grew up around guns and had access to them at an early age. From the very beginning, our dad and grandfathers taught us that guns were tools—meant for hunting and, if necessary, self-defense. We understood that if you pulled the trigger, whatever you aimed at would die. One of the first lessons drilled into us was never to point a gun at anything you weren’t willing to kill. I had that talk with my dad when I was just three years old, and I got my first gun by the time I was five.

I think a lot of southern men raised by southern men had the same upbringing. The point is, kids who are educated about guns, gun safety, and proper use from an early age are far safer around firearms than those who aren’t. Most accidents happen when parents don’t teach their children about guns and instead place them on a sort of pedestal. Then, when a gun is left unattended, the child sees it as this mysterious, forbidden object—and that’s when tragedy can strike
I’ve killed mostly whitetail and one black bear in Arkansas with my Winchester .44 I inherited from my grandfather and none of them ever took another step after I shot them just using regular old ammo he had in his gun case. Not sure about stopping a grizzly but I’ve been very impressed with that little carbine’s stopping power.
One…I was 13 fishing in the harbor in Pascagoula, MS. Had an under the table job as a dish washer and a local bar and grill close enough to the house I could ride my bike to. Saved up my money over the summer and bought my first Abu Garcia Ambassador, rode my bike to harbor and tossed out a line. Had it leaning on the piling while helping my little brother with the cast net and when I looked back up it was gone. I waded around in the water for about an hour and when I was walking back in I stepped on a line pulled it up and it was connected to my rod. Got back on the dock and reeled in about a 3 lb hardhead but boy I was proud of that fish!!
