This brings back bad memories for me. I had a $10 thousand dollar bet on Hospers.

This is completely mind blowing for me. Growing up and living in Pittsburgh for the better part of 30 years, the PG has been one of the boldest Dem supporting newspapers you could imagine. Hell, they were so deeply Dem that the Tribune Review gained popularity just by being somewhat balanced.

This is probably a bit of an oversimplification, but if Western Pennsylvanians don't have jobs, they can't buy newspapers or from the advertisers who support newspapers.

The PPG was merged with the toledo blade in 2018 and the blade's editor, who has been very pro-trump, took over the PPG. One of his first moves was to fire a PPG political cartoonist for being too anti-trump. Totally different leadership than 2016.

Agree but still an interesting thing to note in a battleground state and traditionally solid dem union town
