Barr said officers pursued the subject on foot to Madison Street. “Officers were able to apprehend the suspect on Madison Street, but he resisted arrest and refused to comply with commands from the officers to place his hands behind his back,” Barr said.

“The subject continued to struggle with officers and kept reaching toward his waistband as if he was attempting to access a weapon, all while repeatedly ignoring officers’ commands to stop resisting and give them his hands.”

It was then that Barr says officers resorted to physical force, which he called “reasonable and necessary.”

The police could have saved themselves some headaches by just sprinkling some crack on him.

If he was walking from behind my shop and police saw, I would expect them to stop and talk to the guy. What if he had just broken into the place, stolen copper wires out the AC, or spray painted the side of the building?

It's the old cop unconstitutional illogic.

"Can I search your car?"

"frick no, get a warrant."

"Well now you just gave me probable cause."

Gun was probably planted by some trashy fricking cop. Why did they chase him in the first place, it says no crime had been reported.

Sprinting away from a cop is a little different

I guess we think about "serious" on a different level.
I have some pretty serious permanent scars on my face.
This kid is going to have some droopy skin under his left eye from now on,but he will be OK. Probably some nasal congestion.
It looks to me like he got tackled, and his face hit the ground. There aren't any tears or abrasions,it looks like a 1 time solid impact.

Can only assume that at least one of the cops was black....based on the fact that he was running and they caught him.

You sound like a lefty hack that can’t grasp the concept that the United States of America is a nation of laws. Don’t go sneaking around behind buildings in the middle of the night then dump a gun and run when cops try to question you. Are you fricking retarded or something? I can promise you those business owners appreciate the police protecting their property

They deserve time behind bars if so

Why did he run in the first place?

Anyone emerging from behind a closed business with a cop sitting there will probably invoke a “everything alright sir” or some kind of dialogue. Me, anyone. Don’t run. And if they catch you, don’t fight.

Every person on this board looks like that if they fled then if they fought when caught. Prove the if, or disprove the if.

Running from the cops. Bad idea.

Reaching in your waistband while being subdued by cops. Bad idea.

Having dropped a gun during the chase. Bad idea.

The incident started with police seeing him come from behind a closed business, but no crime had been reported.

Police don’t just respond to crimes. They could have been notified to look out for a guy matching this one’s description. Especially questionable since he fled.

BLM needs to be labeled a terror group. And maybe not so sharp Al history of law breaking is finally being dealt with.
