So, comply or get beaten to a pulp or killed? Are you a small government conservative?

Birmingham BLM has approximately five people.

I've seen their "protests".

This won't go like they think. People in Bama, black and white, don't put up with this foolishness.

We don't even know all the facts. That being said, cops shouldn't be beating kids like that.

If that's what actually happened

If cops attacked him for no reason I agree this is horrible. Or if he had given himself up and they then beat him.
Should trouble brew regardless though?

I mean seen coming out from behind a closed business then fleeing? Gun found on path?

Hopefully there are body cams. Seems like you may have already chosen which side you are on though, I’ll wait and see what happened.

Barr said officers pursued the subject on foot to Madison Street. “Officers were able to apprehend the suspect on Madison Street, but he resisted arrest and refused to comply with commands from the officers to place his hands behind his back,” Barr said.

“The subject continued to struggle with officers and kept reaching toward his waistband as if he was attempting to access a weapon, all while repeatedly ignoring officers’ commands to stop resisting and give them his hands.”

It was then that Barr says officers resorted to physical force, which he called “reasonable and necessary.”

He was probably beat up like that before he interacted with the police. Thank God the local Police helped him by calling the ambulance.

How to not get beat by police:

-don’t run

-don’t pull a gun

Pretty damn simple.

I mean if the kid was more than they could handle a couple baton strikes could lead to that kind of picture. More than necessary could lead to that picture too, maybe none were necessary...

Hopefully we have body cam footage, I don’t see any reason (ever) not to.

They are law enforcement officers. Were they looking for someone who matched the victims description? Responding to a call..?

Officers said they observed him walking out from behind a building.. sounds like there was no call or reason to suspect the kid. Sounds like they just beat the frick out of a guy and arrested him because he ran.

Running from the police is not an excuse to cave someone's face in.

Have you ever been to Troy Alabama? I'd run too if I lived there.

I’ve seen buddies with similar after catching a couple to the eye socket / jaw. Ive seen people get held down and “beat the frick out of” that walked away with less.

Absolutely no way to know. Body cam footage or pure speculation. I’m all for making body cam footage required by law.
