I hope this is good news for my spacex stock.

And Grok’s competition seems to be hobbling themselves.

I’d leave Verizon in a heartbeat if so. Been with them over 25 years and my service lately sucks arse.

The 800mhz is game changer... if it penetrates structures the way they say

Grok has been somewhat disappointing really. Hopefully it picks up soon because Elon seems like he's probably the one out of all of them you'd want leading the way.

Some thoughts
First he does have enough coverage to become a global player, not just the US, and he has been launching sats nonstop.
Second he offers cellular service.
Third he introduces a totally secure cell phone.
Fourth he offers streaming services. While netflix, disney, paramount are all adding content to boost their online business. Musk can now offer it to billions of people in remote areas of the world. AND THEY WILL PAY HIM a fee to be added to the network.
He is gonna be a quadrillionaire before its all said and done.

Would gladly switch to Starlink

Ummmm no they didn’t… if you look at them t-mobile is up 3 points.

I had been holding out, originally hoping he would just buy T-Mobile... their terrestrial network is already excellent in place... combined with worldwide rural Starlink whenever outside their footprint, seemed like the best option.
That said, I've refused to buy ANY new mobile devices for the past 18 months.
He knows what he's doing. I will move to Starlink.

I agree Fid.
I wonder if this whole Paramount deal is not Ellison having beers with Elon and saying, you set up the network we will provide the content and everyone from Indonesia to Sub saharan Africa will know who Billy Bob Thornton is

I generally buy a new phone every 7 years. Have not owned an Apple and will not ever.

Well, they use star link satellites, so…

If you understood how to spin up Grok bots and train them you wouldn’t be saying this.

Explain this so a tech illiterate like me would understand.

I guess. Seems kind of niche. I mostly just use API prompts for research/worker type bots to do tasks.
But I have never done them, so I can't say I know for sure.
Also, I mostly use them for code. Grok is the cheapest option, but I only use it for lower level tasks.

With over 11,000 active satellites and the technology expertise that Elon’s companies have, it’s surprising that he isn’t already doing this, rural customers in particular would flock to it.
