This was the common feeling when I started working 25 years ago. Nothing new.
As a tail end baby boomer I always thought the assholes that are bill & hillary's age would drain it.
Yet here I am.

This looks just like a mostly peaceful protest.
I bet there are fewer arrests and shorter pretrail imprisonments for these insurrectionists than there has been for the J6 unarmed revolt.

Has the French FBI collected cell tower geolocation data on every rioter, matched with camera data and imprisoned them? Oh wait, that’s only America.

Their cause is a proposed 2 year raise in the retirement age.
That’s way too narrow a view. You’re ignoring how the 2 year increase was implemented. Furthermore, our opinion on the legislation they oppose is as meaningless as their opinion in any protests we do to support our 2nd amendment.
The issue is that 9 million citizens disagree with the changes made and how they were changed. I support their right to demonstrate against their own government if 9 million people have an issue with those things.
It’s 9 million people, not a couple hundred like antifa.

It was funny to watch the U.S. press spin that she was far-right.
It was a very easy leap of illogic for the corrupt media.
She was a nationalist, so it was easy for them to tie her to MAGA nationalism, thus she was bad.
FWB
French woman bad.
She is a conventional euro leftist.
Everyone knew Macron is a globalist.
Everyone must fall in line with the one world government agenda and do as they are told, or they will be disparaged

I can't debate numbers or claim to know the details regarding Social Security running out, but I do know I've been hearing this for 20 years.
Is there any way to accurately forecast when it will run dry?
I am sincerely asking.
My understanding is the incoming money will be less than what is being payed out by 2035, and the so-called "fund" that the SS money was supposed to be going into was stolen by our government to use a long time ago.
So, in a nutshell, SS will be insolvent by 2035.

They must not be sending enough support to Ukraine

You have to be brain dead to “not support their cause”

If I was president of France I’d say fine take your lower retirement age. Then I’d resign to my mansion and millions and watch as the system totally collapses in 10 years.
Macron is a mere puppet for the people calling the shots behind the scenes, just like Biden is here.
They are both just paid employees working on behalf of an elite group of business and banking interests who are allowed to parade around and pretend they have the power because the people behind the scenes find it to their advantage to not be in the public limelight so the people have someone else to blame and a false sense of democratic control of their government.

This happens every year. Massive respect to the French, they really know how to run a good protest.

If 9 million citizens disagree with their elected government, it’s hard not to support their cause when they demonstrate against it. I obviously don’t support burning and other destructive methods but strikes can be very effective. 9 million people is a lot.
When you support socialism, any protest about the failure of socialism is meaningless.

What do you mean by run dry?

My understanding is it's already in the red in terms of annual cash flow. I'd say it's already "running dry."

They need a Ray Epps to step up their game.
