It was Brent Renault, a film maker and NY Times contributor. He was not on a NY Times assignment in Ukraine, but was killed in Irpen, a Kyiv Region city.

Warzones are a bitch. Even if the reporters are just there to propagandize and not do legit reporting. There's a risk, but if they can make it out of the warzone, their careers will probably skyrocket.
