“Pure joy,” one Fox reporter told Rolling Stone of their reaction to the split. “No one is untouchable. It’s a great day for America, and for the real journalists who work hard every day to deliver the news at Fox.”

*You say Fox is pushing DeSantis as if that is the reason "they" are jubilant. You forgetting Tucker hates Trump? As usual, you make no sense.

Makes sense to me.

Tucker pursued stories about questions over J6, our role in the current war in Ukraine and our role in creating it, the corruption, politicalization, and weaponization of US intelligence and security agencies, the Pentagon, etc. These are all Trump realm issues of interest. Fox News is GOPe, always has been. Fox News is strongly in support of the intelligence and defense agencies, doesn’t really want to question anything the government says regarding the official narrative of J6, and obviously doesn’t want to seriously question voter fraud.

There have been a few voices in recent years who have run independent or even counter to the company model, Tucker being probably the most well known. Sincere or not, Tucker has been bringing these Trump realm issues to light and focus. It’s no secret that Fox News and the GOPe are not fans of Trump and want him to go away...perhaps at any cost. Getting rid of Tucker helps remove these Trump realm issues from focus, which would make the GOPe and Fox News joyful. DeSantis becoming the GOP nominee would remove Trump as the nominee, which would make the GOPe and Fox News joyful.

Now, I’m not casting aspersions on DeSantis. I see nothing from him yet to make me not vote for him. I’m just pointing out the reality that the GOPe and Fox News would prefer DeSantis to Trump.

Sounds more like Tucker must have been an a-hole.

Except all the people on Twitter posting of evidence of their interactions with him being the complete opposite of an a hole

For years it has seemed like fear of losing their audience has kept Fox News from going far left. Now it appears they don’t care about that anymore.

If this is true (and I doubt it is) those are words of pure jealousy that his ratings basically carried the network.

I’m just glad Rupert Murdoch will finally be delivering me the straight forward news I’ve been looking for. Now Fox News can be trusted and admired by everyone, I think their ratings will skyrocket, how could they not???

Yes. He promoted shite he didn't believe in for ratings b/c he know what that audience wants.

The irony. The entire reason Fox just had to settle a case they could have won for almost $1B is because it would have exposed guys like Tucker as the fakest, least sincere pundits on air. He hates Trump and doesn't believe in any of the bullshite and Dominion had the receipts.
