I'd love to the the POS bankrupted in defense of these initial charges, only to be hammered with the big indictments that accompany his portion of the grand conspiracy crimes.

Vox, I’m not sure you understand. Comey relishes this kind of stuff.

Help me understand why Democrats want to protect Comey.
I have no idea. I'm not a democrat, and I have no interest in protecting Comey.I do feel what the democrats did in 2016 was corrupt.
What I'm against is using the justice system to prosecute your enemies, particularly moving your people around to make it happen. I didn't like it when they attempted it on Trump, and I don't like it now.
I think what's lost on right wing people who look at what the Democrats did in 2016 with Russia and feel the need to "get revenge" is that it's the most backwards, unamerican thing you can possibly do. We were freed from Tyranny in 1776, and our founding fathers fought like hell to ensure that Tyranny never reigned again. When it loses, as it did in 2016, the solution is that you now rise above the misgivings of your enemies, because your moral compass is just, and above all else you care about living by your virtues, and because you believe that there are good people in this country who will always rise above.
I know it's difficult to do, but take a page out of Erika Kirk's book. You forgive and you fight like hell to make the world into more of the world you want it to be. You don't go scorched earth. Even if you've dug deep and you feel it right to go scorched earth, you don't turn on your fellow Americans. Even when they've done so, and even when they deserve it. You love them and protect them, and tell them that you forgive them. At the end of the day that is what sane Americans respect.
I can tell you, step #1 is getting out of this bubble. I participate in left and right wing forums, because i want that other perspective. It happens here. When I think I'm in a liberal bubble I come here and I think "I never thought of it that way." That's all I want. Go listen with an open minded, lose the defensiveness. You'll very soon figure out that the way you're feeling, that anger and need to seek revenge, they feel it to. Isn't that crazy? Why would they feel it? They wonder the same about you.
We are all Americans. And we are consistently being pitted against one another by this administration. He's no good. He cares about him, his family, and making those around him more wealthy. He thinks everyone on this board is trash.
Why you all support a man that would kick you in the teeth for $10 is beyond me, but I do wake up every day hoping it turns around.

He must. He managed to hit every available branch as he fell from the top of the Criminality tree.
If this is a desirable outcome for him, he has odd tastes in briar patches.

he lied to feds several times, but if I'm not mistaken, the Columbia friend was after he was fired. I think the indictment is for ordering leaks while he was FBI director.

Didn't Miss Piggy Cheney get a full pardon from the auto pen?
Pardons done mean the facts cant be laid out and these traitors drug through the mud.
Doing so will also reduce their credibility and keep them from cashing in on their positions (or former positions).
Might not be able to send them to jail but they can be made a laughing stock.

He was chaehed with 2 things. Lyying to congress and obstructing a congressional investigation.
This was adjudicated in 2019, with McCabe almost getting indicted, but not. Nothing happened to Comey, then. The Inspector General beleieved Comey over McCabe.
This is very, very thin, considering that these are the only charges. The US Atty that Trump appointed - Siebert- resigned over this because he refused to charge Comey. The only thing that will come of this is that Comey will have to spend a lot of money to defend himself.

I wonder why Siebert refused to charge Comey? Could there be a reason? Familial influence, perhaps?

Yeah, I totally understand wanting revenge over Russiagate. But, when a guy like Flynn gets tripped up for lying, we call it a process crime. Nobody is going to go down for treason. It's going to be more lying/obstruction on guys like Brennan that may not go anywhere. I'm not going to cry for them, I hope they are bankrupted. But, Trump is going to burn up a lot of political capital doing this.

Is there a bias here....yep. Most sane conservatives can see the bubble and recognize fact from fiction. If you have spent any time on Reddit or Nextdoor with certain people always commenting, there is a clear difference between the meat and potatoes here vs. the meat and potatoes there (weeding out the fringe). If you identify or agree with the takes that I see on those other sites, I don't know what to tell you. They push all of the progressive talking points, they shut down any logical discourse and their mind is made up. They also ban people from any other side of talk. People aren't banned here....they can be mocked but not silenced. I just cannot fathom how you can take the progressive viewpoint on any of these issues. It's insane.

Are we sure this involves McCabe? It was recently reported that Richman was subpoenaed by Siebert. Haven’t heard that about McCabe.

Trump is not kicking anyone in the teeth for ten dollars or 10 million. Your hate and bias is easy to spot lol

Well it’s happening whether you like it or not.
The right is running out of cheeks to turn.
These people broke the Law and will be tried for their crimes.

So basically what you are saying is that if Democrats in the past admin broke the law, you are okay with letting them slide, and not be held accountable for their actions. The Russia collusion and the weaponization of the DOJ by the past admin makes Watergate look like kindergarten playtime.
