Foreign tourists digging on America

I love being occasionally reminded by foreign tourists how many awesome things we have here.
Jakub Semerad is a professional disc golfer from the Czech Republic. Every year, he comes here to play in the pro tour and for a disc golfer, that means months of van life. This year, Jakub planned out his tour a bit differently, squeezing in as many national park stops as his route would allow. This is the Western leg of the tour. He'll be back later this year to do the Midwest and East.
It feels good to have people really enjoy what we have to offer, especially during our 250th

America is fricking awesome.
It's a shame some foreigners can see this more than some of the idiots that were born here and call it home.

There is a lot of beauty in this country.
And it is friggin huge. TUSA is only a bit smaller than the entire continent of Europe and Texas is bigger than anything they have outside of Russia.
When Europeans come here for the first time, they quickly realize the massive scope of empty space in this country. It takes me longer to drive from my house in Iowa City to Lincoln Neb than it does to drive from Munich Ger to Pula Croatia...and I cross through 5 countries while doing it.
But yeah, this country does have some really awesome sights to see.

Damn right. I won't pretend that we're perfect or have the greatest of everything ever, but we do a ton of stuff awesome with amazing geography and aren't third world shite holes (looking at you Mexico, India, Russia, and China.
When you go look at immigration vs. emigration rates we rock tF out of the rest of the world for people wanting to move here.
No we don't have the Alps, the Maldives, Cornwall, Black Forest, Andes, Great Wall, Cathedrals of Europe, Yucatan, etc.
But we do have Key West, the Rockies, South Padre Island, Big Sur, Badlands, Acadia, the Grand Canyon, PNW, Appalachian Trail, White Sands, Sedona, Joshua Tree, Great Lakes, Antelope Canyon, Zion, Big Bend and I can go on and on.

Wait, you can make a living doing disc golf?

Yeah, the top players can make up to 7 figures. Most are kind of just getting by, though. Jakub is somewhere in the middle.

Sorry, article didn’t really sink in for me. Couldn’t stop thinking about Silvia Saint past this part.

LOL @ S Padre
No mention of the Florida panhandle. You should go there one day even if you’re not a beach person and spend some time on that beach. There’s not a better beach anywhere.
People that go when it’s crowded and complain about it are idiots.
Don’t go when it’s crowded.

i haven't been to Florida Pan Handle and wouldn't even think SPI compares, but i just listed places I've been. and they still beat out a lot of the world.
I've done about 35-40 of the states total. I just meant that we have an amazing geographic country. Our best can and do sometimes rival the greatest elsewhere, but even if we don't beat out the Alps, we still have an amazing place.

I like these posts. The tweets about whataburger or gas stations don’t make me proud to be an American.

they sure AF do for me.
go to a mcdonalds, subway, or BK in another country and you'll realize that our worst has better service than most other places.

Why would I go to a fast food place in another country. Stop being fat.

It is just temporary for me. I got about 4 years left until I retire. Then I am out.
It is ok. Not the best, but far from the worst. Get really cold, but summers are mild. Starting to look like little Minneapolis though.
